I still have the original rudders. I understand that the larger rudders
help in how the boat handles. I have a friend who just put the larger
rudders on his boat. He likes how his boat responds with them.

I have a 285 Fisherman. I had Hydraulic steering installed and a Simrad AP24 . I had the AP 24 talk to the fish finder for bottom tracking and the Garmin GPS for routes and position of course. The unit will practically park the boot in the slip.I love it.

Cruz con troll, Good catchen ! Nice report. Hooked On U

90% of the time, it is only the wife and I fishing. It will be nice to try other set ups, that the three rod rule will allow.
Looking forward to this coming season.

I had a AP24 installed two years ago in my Baha 285 Fisherman and have never looked back. It needs to be interfaced with your GPS and Fish Finder to fuly appreiate all that it offers. You'll love it.

Reese,
I converted my Baha from cable steer to Hydraulic steering two years ago and its the best thing I ever did. I also add a Simrad AP 24. Clint did a real nice job.

Surface temperture was 55 degrees and down 130' it was 66.9 degrees. I had some first timers ( relatives ) on board for the weekend. They tried there best and succeeded in not catching fish, on Friday. We had three great hook ups but........ nothing to show for it. Saturday was redemption day. The boys were 2 for 3. We were feeling pretty good considering the lake conditions. On Sunday morning there Captain let them down. I could not buy a fish or a bite! Trolled from 150' to 300'.... North, South, East and West. Nada !
On the way in, We saw guys on a boat netting a fish in 60' of water. Go figure !?!
All in all, we had a great time.

Good news ! When will it take affect ?

Nice report and pictures, RJ. It's nice to see that you spend time with
a younger fisherman and teach him the ropes. He is very lucky
to have you as a teacher . Good luck. We will catch up with you
when we get back from Ocean City, Md .

TRIP OVERVIEW
A friend and I were trying to salvage a bad weekend. We only had a couple hours on Sunday morning to do so. We were out and were on the water all set up by 7:30 AM. By 9:30, We had 4 salmon and pulled our rods and were on our way back to the marina. They just about hit everything we through at them. The one common denominator was a green fly. It really did not matter who made it. If it was green it got hit. Some of our flies were made in Moscow, Pa, by " Little Bitty ". Thanks Peter !==============

What ever happened to the proposed Three Rod Rule Change ? Politians still on resess !?!
-
Nice photos and video.
It has been a long time
since I have seen a fish finder screen that
full of fish. I just got to get down there
next year.
Good going for you and your team.
See you back at the dock in Fair Haven
-
Legacy and Long Line, Thanks for your reply.
-
What ever happened to the Three Rods per person suggestion . Politicians more worried about themselfs vs the people that put them there !?! They did not need our approval to raise the license fees ! Now we have to kiss their A** for them to do something for us. Seems like its at little back wards ( No Pun intended ) time to clean house.

Hi Greg & Sue ,
We love it here.
Thanks for the Information. I didn't think it would be hard for DEC to collect the information.
