  3. I made the move end 2008 we downsized to a 19' maycraft cc with t-top we have fished early spring tru fall, weather affects you about the same on any boat when your fishing, good rainsuit helps battle the elements, for the most part the weather is not an issue. We do have a curtain on 3 sides which helps keep a light rain and wind off us at times. what is good is fuel economy, ez in trailering, a lot more fishing options, for the most part they are strickly fishing boats, and not designed for alot of pleasure, but for me it was the best move i ever made. I have a 115 Yamaha fuel injected 4 stroke burns 4 tenths of a gallon of gas an hour trolling. a lot less matainence, the list just goes on . but like everything else they all have pros and cons, I just wish I went a few feet bigger for storage, but other then that Im loving the boat.

I included an old pic we have done several upgrades since pic was taken.

  4. walkers will only give you temp not speed, best to have individual items to do individual jobs, all big name riggers have pros and cons sure you will get many opinions here, best to see which suits your style the best. like the difference between ford and chevy. some are a lil pricery then others also.try to fish with a few people that have the different riggers and see which you like the best. most riggers are made to handle 12 pound balls, the heavy duty models will handle heavier balls but cost more also. if you are new to the game best to do some research first. many knowledgable people on this site including captains that are out there every day and probly have seen it all and done it all. just my two cents. have fun ;);)

  5. I have nothing to do with this engine but thought some of you may be interested. I stopped in a marine dealer just north of Watkins Glenn on Rt 14 (OWS or OW something was the name of the place he is on the left side going north)looking for a tire, and noticed the motor ther for sale he is asking $450. it looks pretty decent it is a long shaft 2 stroke. just thought I would pass it along.
