  1. There are walleye in Lake Ontario? In all seriousness, Oswego Can produces some monsters and bigger fish than erie. Of course it's going to be more traffic because it is a smaller than Erie trolling waters. Definately a better chance of a 10lber in Oswego than Erie. Daytime? Almost impossible to get any fish in any kind of consistency. During daylight hrs the Henderson Chaumount Black river bay areas can produce.

Fish under the bridge they will be sitting in the shade!!!!

  2. Seems to be alot of this going on lately,I will stick to fishing the river!!Costs me around $20 for a full tank of gas and 2 Cycle oil, lasts me around 3 days of good fishing. :D

The walleye fillets I bring in more than make up for it!

  3. I don't think anyone thinks they CAN'T catch eyes early season in the daytime. For me, it's just a season opening tradition. I prefer to fish at night because there's only two kinds of people on the water at that time. Walleye fishermen, and Walleye fishermen.

Dont forget the Cat fisherman!

  4. Thats awesome to know!!!!I find the same thing down here on the Susky, usually a week or so after the opener the walleye bite turns on.The opener is always a little soon IMO to be out there in my area....But it depends how cold the spring weather is,and its been cold here this year!
