  1. Mike,

Had a great time as usual like Pete has said, the fishing always seems to become second when your fishing with friends. I'll try and add some pics tonight. Glad you were able to make it Mark it was definitely a banner day on Canandaigua with the fall colors so pretty!

  2. Chuck,

Sounds like a later bite...I was out with "FLXTroutman" Mike and "Skipper19" from about 6am till 12:30ish we did 3 small lakers north west side across the lake and back up the north east side...lots of marks but fish were very negative! What an awesome day though the colors are beautiful I'll try and post some pics tonight when I get home...glad you had a good day...Jake looks toastie

  3. Coup,

Almost positive it's legal as long as, like you said, your not transporting them and they are caught in the body of water you are fishing if you want to be sure though...585-226-5380 give the fisheries dept. a call that way you can hear it from the horses mouth.

  4. 8) #About damn time the state does something for our Vets!

Boy you got that right! Willing to give there lives for this country and they are only going to give them a discount...give it to them for free<-----although that might be a word they are going to remove from the dictionary because it gets used so little.

  5. Forget the name of the park, but corner of westfall and clinton has a large pond (its on westfall). Heard of folks fishing there historically. You can see if from the 390/590 split. Could fish the canal off clinton ave. Right there as well two overpasses might help hold fish. Parking area off clinton ave

I caught one of the biggest large mouth bass that I have ever caught in the pond stated above  Any place along the canal or there are a few public spots along the genessee river also... I think the DEC website lists most of them.

  6. Just wanted to give a good comment about a store I recently did some business with "Tackle Haven" Long story short I had ordered 2 of the new Okuma Cold Water series reels from a different store who I will not name nothing against the store I have always been happy with my orders thru them, they were just having trouble getting the reels as they were on backorder for about a month in a half, anyway I saw that Tackle Haven had them in stock so I called and asked if they would match the price that the other store gave me $104. a piece with free shipping. Phil the guy that was assisting me said well we have them for $109. and they retail for $120. I'll give them to you for $109. and I'll throw in the free shipping, done! Had my order in 3 days. Phil was great to deal with, just thought I would pass a nice business experience along. BTW if you haven't checked these reels out yet they are awesome!
