  1. What happened to the wind speed readings? This used to help me get a good idea of what the lake would be like before making the long drive. http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=olcn6 Anybody know of any other real-time weather stations to check besides Youngstown and Rochester?
  2. Looking at the 7'6" ML Accudepth for spring browns and Erie walleye. Anybody have any experience with these? How might it compare to the Heartlands?
  3. 3 baitcasting reels for sale, each with very little use and in great working condition, includes cost to ship 1 - Shimano Citica $50, used about ten times, works great, very little boat rash, retails for over $100 brand new 1 - Daiwa Takara $25, used about six times, work great, looks brand new, retails for $50 new 1 - Pleuger Endeavor $20, used about six times, works great, looks new Can buy separately or take all three for $90
  4. Would have been a nice day for a hardtop... Fished 7-12 fow, nice color to the water. Had about twenty hits and landed 16 or 17 fish. This included a nice laker and a steelhead. Biggest brown was 10.4, my biggest so far up on the lake. I feel like I'm starting to get a hang of the shoreline thing a bit. Couldn't keep my three rods in the water very long. Despite being 39 degrees I actually started to get warm from moving around so much, gotta love it.
  5. Still looking for small used LC's. Dont have a lot of money to spend, looking for a pair. Thanks
  6. Do any of you guys remove the front hook on your stick baits. Most of my sticks have two hooks and front hook will occasionally get caught in the fish as well which causes them to spin and pop off. I was thinking about removing the front hook and leaving the rear. Any thoughts?
  7. I have 11 walleye or pike sticks. Most of them were never used and the Renoski's are hard to find these days especially in some of these colors. They are killer on Erie for big eyes fished off dipseys or leadcore. $27 Includes the cost of shipping. 5 - Renoski's (5") 1 - Reef Runner 2 - F13 Raps 1 - F18 Rap 1 - HJ 14 Custom Color 1 - Challenger
  8. Anybody use X Raps for spring browns. Was using one the other day and got broke off. Thinking of ordering a few more, was it just a fluke? Seems to me like just about any stickbait would be effective.
  9. Just cleaning out a few things including a few sticks that I have quads of. Includes 8 stickbaits for spring brown trout. 5 Kaboom Shiners that are hard to find including a few custom colors as well as 3 Renowski Crystal Minnows. All baits are 3.5 inches, perfect for browns. $20 for all eight includes shipping.
  10. Thanks for the reports guys, we made it out Saturday morning and went 9-11. Still kinda new to this program and lesson learned about putting a mix of sticks out to see what they want. We washed kabooms for three hours with one fish and one miss. Switched over to f9 rapalas and started getting fish. We also found some slighly warmer water and that seemed to do the trick. All cookie cutters.
  11. Any updates on water conditions? Bait shop in Olcott said green and milky...hope they're right.
  12. Thanks for the info guys. Hoping for some rain tonight. If anybody gets a look at the lake tomorrow Friday 3/16 please give an update Thanks
  13. If anybody gets a look at the shoreline from Olcott to Point Breeze can you please let me know of the water conditions/color or send me a PM. I really want to give it a shot this weekend but dont want to make the long drive to find clear water and very tough fishing conditions. Any info is much appreciated. Satellite imagery only shows so much and unfortunately I don't know anybody who lives up that way. Thanks
  14. Looking for round baitcasters like the Abu Garcia Ambassador, Shimano Corsair, Daiwa Millionaire or small lincounters like Daiwa SeaLine 17 with paddle handle or Okuma Magda Pro 15 with paddle handle.
