I thought a 10 color was good to about 40 ft. 4 ft per color. It’s also about 100ft longer than a 200 copper so it should be on the outside if doubling up on one side

Not many choices really. To the east in Fair haven there’s Screwy Louies and to the west Route 18 Tackle. Neither one close. Mitchels has 2 sizes of meat and priced very fair. There is a LOU member in Spencerport area that sells it when available. I believe it’s Rigged SFC

I would definitely put the Twilli tips on and the wire knot will work fine with the 19 strand

Very cool Matt. Great fish!

Got in the LOC for some customers who wanted to compete in the Derby. The night before Day 1 of their trip I spoke with the guy and he told me they wanted to get on the Derby leaderboard. No browns yet, so I decided to set up for the brown spotted devils the next day. I've never fished BTs on the west end, but how different could it be from home? Left port and took some water temps... 50degrees was ok... But I found a temperature break to 48 and some nice stained water . Deployed 6 board Flatlines pulling stingers and two flatlines with 2oz rubber core sinkers along the prop wash pulling Super slims in various gobie patterns .
Day 1 we did catch a few BTs, but nothing for the board. I was confident with the game plan, so we went back for Day 2.
Day two, same set up.... Difference is the water was a little warmer (51) . After we get set up, a rubber core prop wash set up gets hit .. I knew it was a decent fish by the way it fought. The angler played it perfectly to the net... 13.4 on the scales at the Boat Doctors.
Blonde chicken wing, chicken wing, gold perch and mongoose In Michigan stinger were good. The Prirate Silver with black scales took shots, and the Green Gobie Super slim took the big fella... It's great when a plan actually kinda comes together .. hopefully the missing year class of BTs doesn't have much of a bearing in the future...
Nice job Matt. I thought for sure I’d see an Optimizer hanging there

Gee I wonder where all the bait goes
And all the pen raised kings and rainbows and direct stocked browns. The USFWS says they’re looking at the Ontario cormorant shooting program.

Man , that brings back memories
I can still smell the stylus burning the paper .
That smell along with the 2 stroke fumes was a great combination. I recall turning the paper roll upside down on the at the end and running it again if the top third of the paper was clean if we were fishing deep.

No excuses for the launch to be in that condition with a $10 fee. Not surprised though if the city maintains it

Nice job Al, who took the pic?

Big group of snows in Hamlin by the lake. They have been around for a couple of weeks.
A buddy and his group were able to drop 66 of those white devils out Hamlin way after chasing them around for 4 days

I know exactly what your doing... Braid is not the way to go. I use two or three rod lengths of #50 mono. I attach it with a small spro barrel swivel.
No curly wire... I can run a little lighter leader if I'm running spoons ( the 50# momo has a little stretch). Plus the fleas don't like the 50#.
This is definitely the answer. If you find it difficult to attach the wire to the swivel, an allbright knot and a drop of super glue works well.

I'LL take 'em off your hands. I don't have a epay account set up from any site yet. Kinda new at this type of method. Tell me how you wish to get paid and I will do so. Include shipping.
Thanks, Tom Stevens

All good info in above post. I’m in Irondequoit Bay with no current and a painted bottom. Just a little slime and some zebras on the tabs in the fall. 12 years ago I went 2 years without paint and had to pull boat mid summer to bottom wash. PITA. Definitely keep your OB out of the water if you have the room at the slip.

Tom Allen from A-Tom-Mik posted on Facebook that he is taking orders for cut-bait to bring to the Niagara Expo in February. $30/tray 10 pcs or $160/case 60 pcs.
