  1. I was towing my boat the 2 hrs. to Lake O each way with my F-150 with the 5.4 and getting around 10 MPG. (that's stretching it) It never had the chance to get into overdrive with it downshifting so much. I found a 2000 Ford Excursion with the 7.3 diesel and 225,000 miles on it, and paid $5000.00. I get over 15 MPG towing 70 MPH across the thruway, it doesn't feel like there's anything behind me. (better than 18 MPG highway without a performance chip)and I have no worries taking that truck anywhere. The mileage on a diesel means nothing. As long as the vehicle was maintained, and in my opinion, when towing nothing is overkill.

  2. Storm Thundersticks, 18 new in packages and 2 Rebel Fastracks for sale. There's 8 Thundersticks 5" long, 2 Deep Thundersticks 5" long, 3 Jr. Thundersticks 3 1/2" long, 5 Deep Jr. Thundersticks 4" long. The Rebels are jointed 5" long. Also a Plano Tube File storage case. 14"x9"x3" deep. Has 35 4" long X 1 1/8 dia. covered tubes. I used these for trolling flies. $50.00 for all plus shipping

  3. I have the HDS 5 combo with the lakes chip, and am very happy with it's performance. You can mark fish, and find/go to them easy enough. The only thing I wish though was that I had the money to buy the HDS 8, it's got all the same features but instead of scrolling to find/change things, theres a button for each option at the bottom, also the big screen is really nice when you split the screen.

  4. Spice your fillets the way you like them, and then roll them up with a toothpick or 2 holding them together. Drop them into boiling water then when done ( it don't take long) immediately drop them into ice water. Let them drain and get your favorite cocktail sauce for dipping. Make sure you have enough, they go fast, enjoy.

  5. Unfortunately I need the room in my NY garage, so my hardly used 96 Willie drift boat is now for sale. It's 16', aluminum, 3 color paint, has a fish box under the front seat, comes with 3 wrapped oars with tips and oarguides, rod holders, rear anchor, and side rear anchor, and set up for a front anchor. There is also a cutout in the transom for a long shaft outboard. The bottom is NOT banged up, and the interior is in like new condition. There are some scratches in the paint on 1 side from the trailer, but this boat is in great condition, I'd say a 9 out of 10. The trailer is solid with new tires, I also have a hardly used (less than 5 hrs on it) Merc 9.9 2 stroke longshaft

motor that I bought new as a leftover. $3000.00 without the motor, $4000.00 with. I will not sell the motor alone until the boat is gone. The boat is located at my camp just off I-90 exit 29A if anyone would like to see it in person. Bring cash and take it fishing , a nicer used drift boat you won't find. My cell is 203-233-4936.
