  2. Thanks BS...the lamprey wound wasn't as challenging as I thought it would be, but this is a replica, might be a different story on a skin mount. Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  6. Seems like a bunch of us are thinking same thing....was wondering if north end of the bay is open...thinking about launching at coast guard station tomorrow. Anybody know? Kyle Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  8. Thought I would share pics of a couple replicas I did over the holidays. First one was a largemouth that I did for a guy at work, next is a steelhead in full blown spawn color. Started playing around with replicas as a hobby to pass the time in winter when we're not on the ice. This is the second largemouth I've done and the first steelhead. Enjoy! 9. Not an expert by any means, but we do catch a few fish. Personally, I would start in close, 6-8 fow with sticks off planer boards and spoons off riggers down 3-4'. Look for green stained water. Pay close attention to water temp as you go. A lot of times you can find a little pocket of water that is a couple degrees warmer and holding fish. If need be work out a little deeper, especially if water is clear and or sun comes out. Stay with natural colored baits. Good luck! We would be out there again too, but wife says we need to get a Christmas tree Kyle Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  12. Kade & I went out of Sodus again today. We didn't get on the water until 11:00 due to the heavy fog. Went west again but colored water was gone so we worked slightly deeper water...15-20'. Ended up 7-8 with 6 cookie cutter browns, and 1 good Brown. MVP today was 42nd spoon down 6' on rigger. Another great day. Kyle Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. Fwiw...they just finished a very nice permanent dock at the coast guard station in Sodus. Although they hadn't put any cleats on it as of Monday. Kade & I found a few fish in close. I think we are gonna go out of the Oak Sunday. Good luck!! Kyle Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. With the favorable wind forecast and sunshine, Kade & I decided to hit the lake instead of the tribs. Launched out of Sodus around 10:30 and headed west. Found a some colored water inside and a very small pocket of slightly warmer water that was holding fish. Quit around 3:00 with 8 browns and 1 steelhead. Lost 5 or 6 as well. All small but hated to leave fish to find fish. Highlight of the day was a quad of which we were able to get 3 in the boat. Hot lure was black and silver stick off big board. Most of our fish came in 8-12 fow. Great day to be out. Kyle Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  17. We started Saturday right in the middle in front of Myers headed north and the top 70' of water was loaded with hungry Lakers. First two hours was doubles and triples. Kade had a laker he wanted to run in to weigh so we picked up and went in...8lb 11oz. Set back up where we started and headed north again...fish were gone. Didn't take long to find them and it was game on again. We ended the day with 27 boated and dropped half that many. Biggest was 9lb 5oz. Sunday we started out front again and worked west side in closer. Fish weren't as cooperative as Saturday but we were still busy. Ended the day with 15 in the boat and lost a handful. Mostly Lakers all weekend with a few salmon and a small brown. Congrats to all who placed, some real nice fish on the board! Can't wait to do it again next year. Here's a few pics.... 20. Ran 4 dipsys with flasher fly, 4 on riggers with spoons, and 10 color core down chute with stick bait. Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. Fished out of Meyer's today from 8:00-2:00. Ran to boy scout camp and set up on north troll. Temp break was down at 50'. Worked from 70 fow to 250 fow not much of a screen...bait and fish were really scattered. Fished about 2/3 OF the way to sheldrake and trolled across to east side and headed south. Not much to report on that side either....best screen was 150-200 fow on east side. Had a lot of chasers on screen but not many takers. Changed lures, speed, depth...fish just seemed uninterested today. Managed 6 Lakers and about as many short salmon. Dropped a really nice bow on 35' rigger on west side. Fleas not too bad. 22. I agree...smaller spoons, 2.5-3 mph, 55-60 degrees over deep water. Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app
