  1. hey guys, I recently put an hds 10 and 7 on my boat and am very pleased with both units, I fish deeper water (100 plus)in Ontario for kings/trout and then shallow water (100 or less)on erie for walleye and I adjust my units accordingly. I wanted to see how everyone else has they're HDS set up, last

Ontario I run 83hz, ping spead about 15-16, fishing mode general use. and adjust gain to get best picture.

Erie I run 83 or 200hz depending on depth, ping speed 16-18, fishing mode shallow water, and adjust gain to get best picture

most of the time on 200 I have a hard time seeing me riggers, but on 83 I can see them clear as day.

So, what does everyone else do with theres?

  2. We fished Barcelona last Sundays, was very slow for us.. Landed 2 walleye, fished between 90-130 fow and both fish cane in chattersticks.. One on lead core and other on outside dipsy . We did out a rigger down deep with mag spoon to keep is busy and landed 3 nice lakers. Might go back next weekend and just target lakers

  3. First trip to cabelas today and dropped $1550 haha, had VIP passes for the soft opening. It is pretty cool in there but the one I visited in vw was wayyy better, but it's still better then gander and dicks combined. I will say this, both the walleye selection and trout/salmon was a big let down.. I think they had about 20 flashers and maybe a dozen flies, I didn't see any good worm harnesses. They do have a lot of rods and terminal tackle . They are estimating 1500+ people there for the grand opening so be prepared for some long lines

  4. Well to no surprise the boat was junk, just needed to much work and didn't look like it was taken care of well, I guess that's the reason it was 6k. Does anyone else know of an baha's for sale? 26-30' ? I don't mind a project for the right price, found an 04 286sf which was semi sunk and has no motor for 4k .. Would be perfect for twin outboards but I'm sure I'd have to rewire the entire boat

  5. I'm going tomorrow to possibly buy a bigger boat as my 20' just doesn't cut it on rough days. Does anyone know anything about this boat

he said its been for sale for a few years which makes me wonder why, I do know It needs new manifolds and he claims everything else is in decent shape. I own a thermal imaging gun so I can do a check for moisture. The boat seem to be priced pretty cheap but I do not want to buy a pile of junk, can anyone chime in as what else to look for or any experience with this boat or similar boats. Thanks guys!

  6. Gonna try head out early tomorrow, last Thursday was pretty slow for us, picked up a few fish between 325-400fow .. Good temps about 85' down, just wondering has a whole lot changed ? Also wanted some input on down speeds.. 2.6 is where we normally run, seem to set a lot of fish by the riggers streaking around but not take, too slow or too fast?

  7. Fished out of the Catt yesterday for a change of scene, started of with a nice fish instantly in 54fow then trolled north to 76fow and only picked up a few white bass and perch ... Marked a ton of bait and fish on the bottom. Decided rather then keep going deep to make a turn and try shallow again which paid off, found a nice active group in 64-62fow and worked that to get a 2 man limit, everything took fish...riggers,lead, and dispys. inside dispys were hot back 125..145 on outside with chattersticks also. Hot harness was nuclear green with green tape and beads, until the bottom hook broke. 1.6 mph down speed seemed to work best. Now back to the big fish on Ontario tomorrow!
