  1. I have found the most success using wire lines and dipsy divers. I run 2 deep between 60-80 foot down pulling flasher and fly combos for Lakers then run 2 higher in the 25-35 foot mark with spoons for rainbows, browns, walleyes and pike. I also park a couple riggers in the 20-45 foot mark with small spoons. Oddly enough we have caught different fish at all depths. For example we caught a smallmouth this weekend on a flasher fly combo in 100 ft of water down 80. And have caught big lakers down 20 over 100’ on small spoons. Its a fun lake but takes some time to really figure it out.
  2. Wow! Awesome weekend. Any idea of size on the Pike? Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  3. Awesome! We were out Saturday and did a few bows, a few Lakers and a smallie. Had 2 break offs on the dipsey at 40 fow after a hard hit. Green and orange spoons seemed good for us. Wouldn’t be catching these bows without your reports! Thank you again! Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  4. That’s interesting. I appreciate the info Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  5. Interesting, the last one we caught was on the north east corner down 50 over 65. My first time ever on the lake in mid may i caught 10 pike on the north west corner in 12 fow on crank baits. All others since then have been on accident
  6. I love that lake! I caught my eye (27”) in 65 fow right on the bottom. I never would have expected that. I have to say though that the Rainbow that hit the copper line was ferocious! Only 18” but fought like an Ontario Steelhead. Pretty crazy. Just curious, does anyone target Pike out of there? I have caught a dozen or so over the years and only 1 trolling last year. Love to figure those out someday if there is any numbers in the lake? Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  7. Thanks to all your help on here I was finally able to get some Rainbows in the boat yesterday as well as a beautiful Eye. Wire dipsey rod and a copper rod were active for me yesterday. That cloud cover in the AM has those fish hungry! Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United

  9. Do you mind sharing what you use for copper setup? Reel specifically and type of copper you prefer? Congratulations and thanks for your posts Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  10. We launched a 23’ at Deans today with no problem at all. Lakers, Lakers, Lakers and a few Lakers all in Brown territory. Man are they fun in shallow water when they obliterate a diving stickbait.
