When I only had 2 riggers ,I stacked all the time. Rarely had probs. Would run the bottom 10-15 back & one stacked about 8-12' over it back 15-25( kept it out of the blowback of the bottom line). I still do it if I feel the fish are spooky & only want to run 2 riggers. I use to put a dodger on the bottom & a J plug or spoon 15-20' above that & stagger the weights 7-10 ' apart. everything was at a different depth so tangles on turns were minimal. sometimes the bottom would fire & catch the stackers hooks on the way up ,but only once in a while. I used Roemers w/ an Offshore on the metal hoop of the roemer  so when the stacker hit the pulley it would fall down the cable automaticly.

When you find out, let me know.   Lost the counter on one, we watch it go down on the finder & stp it where we see fish.

With the cold weather we are having this year, My gut tells me that the many kings caught lake wide last year will not be the case this year. The big salmon can be caught anywhere but the majority of the kings are from the Oak , more like ollcott west. So that means everywhere else will be second rate.

I get the hooks where I can local but I got some bulk  at B&E last year, Saw some at Gander yesterday. Bulk at

cabals. Guy from NK had bulk at the show in Lockport last year. 25 at B& E were about 7 bucks last  I got them .

 Some of the VMC, Gams & the likes are 1 buck a piece,a little much for me.

Capn Vince is correct 1/0  28    ,2/0 mag. I use EC LS 374.Best hook for the money IMO  . I think that was the original stock  hooks on them.I Use them on fly harnesses,Squids, J plug harnesses . Smaller on cranks & sticks. I have a lot of confidence in them .Size / Style changes action so be aware.

I quit hunting because I would rather fish but will buy my licence this year & go at least once or twice, just on principle, And encourage all to do the same. We need the sales of everything gun related ,( hunting, target shooting, etc) to skyrocket to send a mesage & influence the vote. To boycott would be a mistake.

I was wondeering about the belly strip myself but thought gamefish could not be used as bait. Could be an issue in a derby /tourny situation that could end bad.

I was thinking for my 1000 copper I might take the wire off my elec rigger and use that . Attach a snubber and all I would have to do is hit the button when the fish hits. I have auto stop so I could take a nap when the  I'm bringing him in.Anyone else have the same idea?

Had a Happy troller & I hated it. Was more trouble than it was worth. Get a bag or buckets . Or in your case ,maybe a kicker.

The glorification of these guys is a little over the top. Most of these guys would be in jail or should be if not pro ball players. And more often than not will be bankrupt or broke shortly after getting out of the leauge. But their mindset is what makes most of them great football players.

That being said, Flaco beat Paytons Broncos ,who were playing as good as anybody. Also held Brady to 14 points, Won a playoff game in each of the last 5 years. Played great the last 2 games when it counted.

I had some rust in the bottom of my outboard tank I had not used in years . My nephew told me to empty it good put a couple of cups of crushed stone w/some soapy water and drive around w/it in the back of my van for a while. Did it , drianed it good, cleaned it out w/ a shop vac,rinsed it well and let it dry & am still using it today.

I go to cabalas & buy welded rings on both ends . I attach a duolock snap to them. never had one fail yet & have been using them for years. . Have had sampos fail. Get big ones for flashers & smaller for spoons.

I have three . I buy a new one every few years so I have at least one newer one on the boat to be able start the engine . I also get the biggest one I can.

Which reminds me, I am going down to the basement to charge them now.

I like to run what came on the lure. If you buy high Quality spoons, more than likely what is on there or should I say style/size is what has worked best for their tests. A size 1 , 1/0 or 2/0 trebel of better quality only needs one barb stuck well to do its job.We all have broken hooks trying to dehook well hooked fish. I would rather have 3 chances instead of 1 . Switching from trebs to single will drasticly change the lures action,which could be good or bad so be aware. I like Eagle claw LS 374. I use them for spoons,Flies, Spinners ,etc.I change to them w/ my J plug harnesses. They are priced reasonable & I have confidence in them . They were replacements for NK 28's.

Was told by a smart guy that up eye hooks are ment to be snell tied. He said the physics of the hook give a more direct line of force. Which I is why I will not use them for steelhead trib flies( I have & lost more than a few fish ) .If you snell tie the treble it will hold it straight at all times. With a tight Palomar or Clinch it could be off centered for some reason and not make the fly run true. For this reason I put a split ring on the trebel & tied a palomar to that of some of my flies . Don't know if it made a diff or not, but I felt better about it.

JTD Rebels 3 1/2 & 4 1/2" I have A green top orange belly silver sided one I colored the sides w/ a chartruce marker I bet I hooked 100 fish at least on. Changed hooks -split rings more than once. The 5 1/2 " ones have their days also for dirty water .

In the case w/ the Webster Firemen, may they RIP, i consider this.

If our broken justice system would have done the right thing after this guy killed his grammy w/ a hammer(not a firearm ) and put a rope around his neck and hung him at high noon in the public square , 2 Fathers - Husbands-bro's-sons would have had Christmas dinner . Tim MvVeigh used Diesel & Fertilzer(not a firearm) for his rampage. As I recall Colombine had some rigged propane tanks(not a firearm ) that did not work.

Don't know what the answer is but don't remember this type of thing hapenning when I grew up ,And most of us had Guns at home for hunting. Fix the problems, which really is not the guns. And don't forget about WHY there is the 2nd ammendment,

Another nut case that broke the law at I bay. I watched that interview with NRA head also. Thouhgt he held his own pretty well against a biased interviewer. Also saw what is going on over in Seria. I'll sleep better tonight knowing I have my constitutional 2nd amendment rights. Sorry for all the losses but lets not throw the baby out with the bathwater.
