I have run dual units each with a transducer on my 30 ft Mainship.

Mount your transducers thru the hull close to the keel about amidship and the other back furter to prevent cavitation.

Just keep the transducers about 10 feet apart and they wont interfer.

Swith one on 200 khz and the other on 50 khz and you will get the best of both.

I just picked up a Dutton & Lainson Electric trailer winch ( TW9000) and plan to mount it for my Shamrock 246. Wieghs 4,000 pounds dry. add 150 Gal of Diesil fuel annd the ice and fishing stuff and it must come in close to 5,000 pounds.

Added a poly box to the trailer to hold a marine battery to power the which and a wire with diode to keep it charged from the trailer 7 pin lighting plug.

Im on a dual axcel Alum Bunk trailer and am trying to make it slide on and off a bit easier. Added side bunks to kee the boat on straght when the tide is running a current. Problem is the trailer floats when unloaded.

I was thinking of tring to find about 100 soft poly rollerblade wheels to add to add tp the bunks to help it roll.

Has anyone set up a kicker on their dive platform?

Im looking for mounting ideas.

Running an inboard Diesil and not thrilled about having to carry gas for a kicker but....

My other idea is to find 4 really big electric troling motors and mount them under the dive platform. then add a couple big deep cycle batterys just to run them.

I have more boxes in the basement that need to be inventoried.

All these parts came from a US NAtional Park Service Shop where they would rebuild every outboard every winter just because they could.

Get a 55 gal poly barrel and cut it in half.

get a sump pump and garden hose and muffs for your outdrive or make a fvc fitting to fit to your hull intake strainer thru hull hose

with a T and Valve. Do this once and youll be ready for next year. A side benny is that in the event of flooding you valve off the hull intake and open up the flush valve and your engine acts as a wickedgood bildge pump.

2) Pour 4 gallons of antifrezze and 4 gallons of water into the 55 gal bucket.

3) start thesump pump

4) Start your engine to get it warmed up.

5) Change your oil and filters when its hot.

6) Discomnnect the sump pump.

7) Remove your batteries and store on a charger for winter.

Pour any remaining antifrezze mix into your Head holding tank ( You should have pumped the head prior, or your in Deep Do-Do.) you have to get it all out before it freezes.
