Dennis, I would go with the auto pilot. Can you get an extension for the 15 hp? It would be a lot less than a new motor. Seems like 1.8 mph is plenty slow for the type of fishing we do.

Bondouley do you know the style of skeches?

I agree it does look like the Green Alewife Bubble Rad from FFT but with the black fingers instead of the green. I could not find that exact color on FLT website.

Can anyone identify this spoon and info on where to purchase it?

Dennis, I solved my problem with the curling and kinking by using 20' of fluorocarbon leader so the wire is always on the spool.

Patriot, I just recieved the #5's I had ordered in black and was sent the one's with tape. After looking at the their website again I don't think that size 5 comes in all black yet. I also emailed them about the sharp burrs on them and they did reply. Try to contact them again.

HEY Longbow, check with Holy Mackeral. He has a surefire way of securing terminal tackle to wire line.  By the way, how's the motor coming along?

I used to fish those rods but they kept breaking. Good luck with yours. One good thing is that Cabela's will replace them. I use Shimano now.
