  1. So I just had one installed a week ago and the doctor told me no hunting this year. well he doesn't know me very well.

I also have several contender hand guns that I am comfortable with. Our season in Pa. opens in a couple weeks and i feel great now so should be even better then.

    Thanks  Jim

  2. Lowrance has always taken the planned obsolescence concept to the extreme.

So right Tim. That's why I run a Furuno sonar with a airmar ducer. I should have been smart enough to steer clear of this outfit.

  3. Do a Google search for king 2000 auto pilot. It's a charter captain in Florida that has the company. That's the best I can help till I get home.

  4. a company by the name of KING manufactured a unit that installed on the steering shaft under the steering wheel, i had one on a pen yann that i owned back in the 80s. basically it just kept the boat moving in a straight line long enough for you to set some lines or get a fish in the boat. it certainly wasn't ment to be used as a auto-pilot or to navigate with, but was really handy at times. I am going to reasearch this and see if this is still made,

Dick I have a king on my trophy and love it. Works great with 2 guys while we set up and again netting fish. I troll with it alot. Shut my I/O down and it steers my kicker.

  5.    I come up every year to fish the end of the LOC in the spring but I see the WHI is the last weekend of the derby this year. Maybe it has always been this way but I don't remember. I'm sure a slip at Olcott won't be a problem with the regulars slipping at Wilson.

I'm thinking this will take some good water away for me being I fish the Wilson bar and the red can alot. I'm just a weekend worrior and respect the captains that dropped 1k to enter the WHI. I'm not the kind of guy to get in there way.

so what do you guys think? can I find good fishing out front or east or just save the trip for later?  i'm kinda lost here.

  6. Yea I would agree. Aside from that when we have one fall off a fish into the boat my wife is grossed out and stands on the seat. I can imagine her reaction when I tell her I am going to take them home and freeze them.

I'm with your wife on this one.  I run like a little girl when one hits the floor. Glad my boats a hardtop. Thats why i take a kid fishing.
