  1. Its just a 2x10 with 2 L brackets that hold a piece of threded rod. The rod goes thru the line spool and 2 large washers and wing nuts adjust 4 tension. The whole set up screws to a wood table. I use it for all my line. I also have a old fan motor that has a colapsable frame on it that I use to strip reels.

Fished out to 80 and picked some steelies there then that slowed so headed to last nites water and got there and poped a nice king on my-Fly. Slow today but did manage a 23 pound king and some more steel in the 220 range all came of of my Green Ghost My-Fly. Just happy to get out today. Good fishing to all. PS I am looking for a kicker motor. Please contact me if any one knows of one in good working condition. Thanks. ====================

Back to work on thurs so I will be out in the AM weather permiting. Good fishing to all. ====================
  4. Jeremy get in contact with me. I will give you a Green Ghost My-Fly. I have been making jigs for years and now added trout and salmon flies to the mix. Having trouble keeping up with orders. Jig season has slowed after walleye and bass so I am throwing all my time into salmon gear. See ya at the doc. If yor know u are fishing let me know. Good fishing to all. PS, I am looking for a kicker motor in good running condition. If any info let me know.
  5. I also use 30# flicker and yes it is temper mental line. It will twist very bad if you do not take it off the stock reel the rite way. You must take it of with th line loading from the top and do not use yor fingers as tension. I have a made up tension devise that works great. Use the best quality bearing swivels and a section of 20 pound floro and u are all set. NO FLEAS NO PROBLEM. I run it on all rigger rods and my dipsey. Good luck any Q's let me know.

Started in 120 and sent a Dew SD with a green ghost MY-Fly to 80 and went to set right rigger when it started to scream. I love when they just rip it. After a great battle and some very intense runs a nice 24 pound king was in the net. Set that rigger and went to the right side and was clipping on the free slider and the green ghost fired again with a nother screamer. Again a nice king at 19 pounds. Set for a third time and puled for around 200 yards when it fired again this time with a nice coho in the 10-12 range. At this time I thought somthing was starting to look good so switched the other side to the same rig and set a dipsey with the same and set it to 275 back. Short time latter bang on the dipsey and a steelie was jumping behind the boat. My son grabed it and said it came off because it was slack. The steelie was still jumping with my whole rig visible and comin straight for the boat. I yelled reel!!!reel!!! and he did and finally caught up with the fish and the fight was back on. He was fightin that and the left rigger fires and starts to scream. Fish he yells and I was hooked up again on a nice king. He lands his, a nice steelie at 11 pounds and a short time later I land a 15-16 pound king. So far so good. We caught a couple more steelies in the 7-8 pound range then the left rigger fires and yup, starts to scream. My son grabs it and this fish was hell bent on stayin down deep. I was thinking a 30 pounder this fish was fightin so hard. When it came to the boat it was not as big as I was hoping but a very nice 26 pounder. It was a great nite with most fish banging my 85 foot rigger and all fish caught on a dew spin doc with what I call a green ghost My-Fly hand tied by yours truely. Some of you know the fly very well, and yes I am making more! Taking wife and kids in the am so hope all is same. Last day of vacatiom then its back to a dealing with the worlds dumbest criminals! Sure hope the morn brings good luck. Good luck to all!!!! ====================
  7. To inform some off you who knew captain Tom Belmont of Strike Three Charters he has passed away on 7/12. He was a charter captain for many years out of Sandy creek in hamlin. I fished with him and his two sons and he will be missed. All goes out to his family and friends. Catch one for tom!!!!
  8. I am OUTRAGED!!!!! as a county Sheriff myself I find this very upseting. I see things like this all the time but this hits home. Go for a day on the water and end up in the hospital! The COWARDS responsible for this atack need nothing less than a bullet hole rite smack in the middle of head. Some find this harsh and say it is cruel and that the system will make it just. My A**!!!! They will get it, it is in the future. Hope bill makes a speedy recovery and me and my family are thinking about him and his. I made some calls myself and will keep posted. To hell with them!!!!

We had a good time with plenty of action. Started of in 150 and headed north and picked up our first fish in 180. A nice coho around 12-15. Nex was a pair of dubble trouble steel on the same rod, one on the free slider. Both fish 6-7 pounds and didnt want anything to do with each other. What a mess. We managed three kings with a 26 pounder and two teens. The rest were a pick of steel and shakers. 7 of the 9 came off of my hand tied flies. I love my flies!!!!!!!!!
  10. Nice fish, I hear ya about the bimini top. My family looks like vine ripe tomatoes.
  11. Nice job!!! So many brute steelies out there. Some big kings in close early too. Keep it up and see ya out there.

Wind Speed/Direction:none Waves: flat Surface Temp: 68-71 Location:Sandy LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: Lots Total Boated: 50 or so Species Breakdown: Kings/Steel/Coho/ Browns Hot Lure: NBK SD MP My-Fly/ Wonderbread PT No-c em Trolling Speed: Down Speed: 2.5.3.0 Boat Depth: 200-280 Lure Depth: 75-125 ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS Took my wife and two sons out on 7/7 and they had a blast. We caught tons of fish. Lots of steel and coho with my son catching a monster coho at 22 pounds on the nose. I am going to place a picture if I can figure it out. Lots of very nice steel in the 6-12 pound range with a 13.3 at the largest. My 9 year old was watching the dipsey rod and asked me if a king would grab it, I said no because it was only runing at around 50-60 or so and the kings were in cooler temps. Well 3 minutes later it took of and was screamin. At the end of a 20 minute battle was a 22 pound king. Guess I was wrong. I love being wrong!!! All and I mean all the fish came on a east to west troll and a SE troll. No fish on a west to east because of the current. Lost count on fish but we had so much fun an dthen went to the nose to cool off. Fishe 7/8 with my oldest son and his friend that was his birthday today. He is 12 troday. He said it was his best B-Day ever. That has to do with the fishin because it was smokin again. Both fish wise and temps. Conditions were the same with the water speed and temps and the same direction of troll. We caught some nice kings with the B-Day boy catching a very athletic and mad steelie at 13 pounds even. Out of all the fish I even managed to catch one and that was because we had a trip and was forced to reel one in and it was the smallest. NBK Spin doc with a monkey puke my fly doing most of the damage. A dew SD with a no c-em also produced and the NBK 28, and the NBK stinger were the hot spoons for both days. Good fishing to all. ====================
  13. The good people in life make up for all the bad. Glad to hear that it all worked out. Every now and then a little test is not bad.

My kid lost a monster after 35 minutes. It ran 300 of the rod on the first run and thats no bull. I was in shock. I did two circles and this fish wasnt gonna give me my NBK. I took the rod from my son and felt it for myself with the boat almost in nutral and it was very heavy. I called Jeremy (jaxx) on the phone and while i was talkin to him it came to the surface 120 back and the hook popped out and it was over. I am not in the derby so maybe a blessing. All my kid would say is that it was the toghest fish he has ever done battle with and his best is 33 and some change. All I know is it was nice. The rest of the day was a pick of teen kings and some shakers with some nice coho and steel to boot. Cant stop thinking about the one that got away. Good fishing to all. ====================

He caught all of the fish with a 22 pound king topping the day. Nice steel head in the 12-13 pound range with a nice coho dubble. I placed the rod into the holder and he was able to reel that one in too. He stayed happy. Nice morn on the water with my boy and will be out tomorrow also. Holiday so get there early and get off before noon you should be good. NBK 28s and NBK Spin Doc with a monkey puke my fly. I call em my fly cuz I make em. They will be available next year for sale if anyone is interested. All sorts of patterns and half the cost. Good fishin friends.

  17. No swivel bases just tab lock bases. I didnt need the swivels and didnt want to spent the 100 a piece for em. Just cable and snaps that are ready for balls. If you are interested I will set you up with releases but you will have to get balls. (E-Bay cheap).
  18. 2 Cannon Easi-Troll Manual riggers with 24" booms. Had them on my 18 foot sylvan and they worked great. They have tab lock bases and 200' of stainless cable and ball snaps. I fished Ontario and lake Erie with these and had no problem pulling 12 pound fish shaped weights. I upgraded to electric for the kids. They are in EXCELLENT condition and I am asking 200 firm for the pair. They are 1 1/2 year old. 585 490 4246 (Jim) Hamlin NY
  19. The release at boat side with no net works for me, on smaller fish. The bigger fish we drag for a bit and let go. You are not going to save them all. When we do have a large fish on and we know he is going to be released we pull the riggers up and take the lines out of water and stop the boat, fight the fish and land him at boat side. Not moving makes a huge difference. I think that draging them while fighting them takes a lot out of them. I only run two riggers and have a 18 footer so its easy for me but try slowing way down during the fight and if you know your going to release him just take extra time out and stop all together and land him. It really ups the survival percentage.
  20. I have two easy trolls with 20" booms and tab lock bases. They are in like new shape and both loaded with cable. I am asking 200 firm. 585 490 4246 (JIM) Hamlin NY
