I've been reading the posts here on spoons lately and haven't seen Blue Fox mentioned. Most are Northern King (NK), DreamWeaver (DW) and Michigan Stinger (or Stingray for the larger size). Read through the "Favorite Spoons" thread on this site.

Sweet. I've seen posts from kayak fishermen targeting stripers there - have you ever tried? I'm in East Dennis occasionally and have seen stripers cruising the flats for bait as the tide comes in. Haven't tried fishing for them yet.

It's not marine grade but I picked up this one up recently @ W*Mart for $52.

Speaking of which, sending you a PM, Rob.

Just started fishing again last fall, actually. Haven't done much other than the occasional trib visit in the last twenty years.

Off Shipbuilders as well. Take a look at the post "Shipbuilder Surprise"

Hey - nice fish. Tasty, too.

Your son's got a great big grin but Mike doesn't look too happy about the fishin'

One more reason to visit Costa Rica. Beautiful fish...

You gave good advice. Legacy provided a perfect example of just how great a morning spent trolling Lake Ontario for spring browns can be. Luckily for me, the weather and the fish cooperated.

He had his hands full. Three of us were originally supposed to split the charter but our third had to drop out. We could really have used the extra pair of hands to land fish - and give me a rest after the king. Now I know why they're so popular...

Thanks for an amazing trip, Rob. We caught so many fish, one camera ran out of memory (shooting video) and the other's batteries died. I just emailed you the best shots.
We'll be back for the kings.

I'm shopping for the same for trib bank & pier use, preferably solidly constructed & American-made. Landed a 6lb brown in Ellison Pk w/ a 10.5' ft noodle rod & a small hand net. Almost went swimming twice - wish I had video.

That's the quarry pond belonging to Manitou Construction/Manitou Concrete, located on Old Penfield Rd, up above the Genesee Conservation League. The land's all posted but there's usually people there fishing when I hike by.

The DEC has a very basic depth chart posted here: http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/25662.html
GPS File Depot has free 24K topo maps for NY posted here: http://www.gpsfiledepot.com/maps/view/111/. I have it loaded on my Garmin handheld for hunting but there's no lake depth detail.

You can order NOAA map 14791: http://www.charts.noaa.gov/OnLineViewer/14791.shtml
The Navionics are available for download to Iphone and Ipad as well. I was just looking at them last night.

I have an old Matthews MQ32 that I still love to shoot but they've come a long way since them. If you're in Avon, you can try Bullzeye Archery, the shop behind the Outdoor Store on 5&20 in Bloomfield (just past Toomeys Corners) or Traditions Archery in Henrietta, 2199 E. Henrietta Rd. Traditions & Indian Mountain are both listed on the Mathews site as official retailers.
