What ever line come with fly out of the box. I am not gonna bash a brand since I have had good luck with this brand. I am sure it had to be my knot since it was brand new.

I fished the same area 7am till 11. Went 1-5 with small king. Had one break the line on fly off spin doctor. Others were releases on spoons but nobody home.

I talked to tech from Meguiras and they told me to try special rubbing compound then a polishing compound then wax. I will see how it works.

Spoons were on rigger 65, 55, 50, 40. Caught a few on 65 and 55 rigger. 50 rigger had a few releases but no hook ups.

Took some fire police guys out today 6am-11am. Went 7 for 10. 150 fow took most fish. Most and biggest fish came on wire dipsey with Flasher/Fly. Glow frog and gold 42nd spoons took some fish. Released all fish.

Nice job fishing solo and also nice of you to help a guy in need. I went out of braddocks this morning but stayed in 75-100fow with little luck. Lost 2 nice ones that came unbuttoned after a few minute fight. Went 5-10 yesterday afternoon in 75 fow.

I normally go out of sandy also but went to braddocks with sandy being under water. East side launch was fine but paid $14. Guys talk about west side launch being cheaper but I haven’t tried that one.

Took a buddy from Fire Dept out from 7:30am till 11. Fished 90-110 fow and stayed mostly out side the pack. Went 5-9. 1 laker on dipsey set 210. 1 rainbow 55 rigger glow frog. 3 Kings all on 65 rigger 42 spoon.

I catch the majority of my fish on dispey’s with wire over downriggers. I use length of rod as my length from dipsey to spindoctor with atomic fly. I run 2 dipsey’s on opposite sides on a 2 setting. I use ratio of 3:1 to guess my depth. 9 times out of 10 my wire dipsey will out produce riggers. Good luck and this site is great place to learn

Thanks for the tips. Got a late start since my buddy had to get kids on the bus. Fished 10-1. Went 2 for 3 having my buddy lose the last one right near the boat. Marked a lot of fish in 112 fow around 50 down.

Any tips for tomorrow out of sandy? Haven’t fished this late in a long time. Are browns still in close or better bet to go deep for steelhead? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Taking my dad and guy from firehouse out.

Much better day than yesterday. Took buddy from fire Dept and his son out with my son and I. Went 5 for 9. 65’ - 100’ FOW. Riggers 50, 45, 40, 35. Dipseys 120 and 150 with SD/Fly. 42nd spoon had 3 hits and rest were on SD/Fly. Let all the fish go expect one for my buddy to eat.

I used to bow hunt but most places I hunt they have houses on them now so I haven’t hunted in years. Good luck hunting. I will keep fishing as long as I can. I officiate hockey so that will start to cut into my weekends.
