Anyone know of any places that can weld a fender to a trailer near Wilson/Olcott? Hoping to launch the boat, drop off the trailer to get fixed, and pick it up later that day. I can't imagine it would take more than a half day to remove and weld a new fender on. If it takes longer, I guess we'll have to fish more...shucks.

What is a twinkie rig?
36-70" rig with a few small flies/squids pulling meat at the end. Typically behind a SD or paddle.

I run then with big paddles. 42-60 inches long[ Post made via Android ]

Yeah, I just kind of expect to tow people in anymore!LOL Bummer about the phone! See you out there this weekend, if I can find a campground, the Cove is booked solid. Might have to try Erie, for those yellow fish, oh the shame!!LOL

we've all been there. Feels even worse when you lose your best rig on the first day of your trip....

switched from 10lb balls to 13lb torpedos from Atommik. lot less blowback, track straighter, but a lot slower coming up with the Mag 10s

running whole bait, we get the head and flashers from http://www.michiganangler.com/
every flasher/head we have purchased has produced. Once the day starts to slow down, we typically run 'em as our deepest off the rigger. Like most people say, it usually doesn't produce the most fish compared to other set ups, but typically the biggest.

even though they are not Okis, these have worked well for us and quick shipping.

still waiting for pics of the bloody table....

If I get it fresh that day, i don't brine it. Whatever is left over gets brined for 24hrs. then frozen until next use. Holds up better than just refreezing it and better than tossing it just to buy another tray the next time we go out.

Just picked up and used the 10" Forschner Cimeter. some of the best $$ I spent so far. SCARY sharp, great feel. Worth every penny. Before this, I use the Cuto fisherman's solution. Little complaints about that one too. More flex than the Forschner, and works great on the smaller fish.
