I can’t speak for weighted steel…….but I can tell you copper is not fun to reel in.

Hey Bill, I have a savage 220. Very accurate slug gun. Remington accutips in 2 3/4” shoot the best from what I’ve found. You can have 3 shot groups touching at 100 yards. I have a vortex crossfire ll 3x9 on mine

Quick trip before work and quick trip after work today. Finished the day 14/20. 1 steelhead, 1 Atlantic , and the rest kings. Temp was down between 50 and 70. Riggers fired quite a bit with spoons and free sliding cheaters. Flasher fly bite was slow, only took two shots. Meat took off last night a few times in the evening. The guys I took out had a great time

I have heard the workers who do the egg take at the salmon river grab the smaller salmon because they are easier to work with

Bummed I missed the shootout, but it looks like you all had a great time! Headed out Sunday morning and got set at first light on a solo outing. Before I could even get my second rigger down, the other rigger popped with a carbon 14. Nice mature. Lost it behind the boat while I was trying to take my fixed cheater off. Finished setting my second rigger and started straightening up……that rigger fired. 10 pound king. Finally got all my rods set, and it quieted down alittle. Ended up grabbing another handful of bites, and off the water around 9. Five of the fish hooked were nice ones. Also tried tandem single hooks on one of my flies today on a recommendation from a buddy. Hooked one on it, and it didn’t disappoint!

In six weeks a traffic jam will start at the pier heads. Just a reminder to larger boats, be courteous to the small boat fishermen.
And the pier fisherman lol

Had a first timer on the boat with me this morning along with two other buddies. We decided to stay inside to try and fish for some browns. The wind and waves made it tough this morning to keep a good speed. Going west with my kicker on full throttle I was only getting 1.8 to 2.2 at the ball. Didn’t want to get to far from the launch because I had to be into work this morning. Fished from first light till 8:30 and did 7/11. All fish came on an east troll, as I could get good speed going east. Dropped 2 nice kings and 2 nice browns unfortunately. It didn’t Matt though…..the guys had a blast. Still took an hour to get back in to the launch as I could only got 5mph lol.

It happens. Called a scum line. Usually fishing right on the edge of it can be very productive. Had the same thing out of sandy yesterday morning

The spoon is a lance’s two face. It’s a Michigan stinger

Fished sandy the last two mornings from 5:15AM to 8:30AM. Fished 90 to 190 fow. Took fish in all depths 50 to 100 down. Also lost an Atlantic of a life time that took my spoon off the surface as I was removing the fixed cheater off my line. I’m not one to exaggerate and shoot straight…..this Atlantic was 15 to 20 pounds. A giant. Still hurts thinking about it lol. Overall did just north of 40 bites. Biggest went just over 21. Riggers, divers, torpedo divers, spoons, flasher/flys, meat. It’s all working right now. Got a few steelhead, an Atlantic, and the rest kings. Monday I had some friends from work out. My one buddies wife said he could only go if he brought some salmon home. We made it happen lol

Did you check the dreamweaver site?
I did. I don’t see it on there anymore. I emailed them, but haven’t heard back yet

A humbling day for me. Had a decent high teens maybe low 20 king break of my entire meat rig 20 feet from the boat. Reset and had another high teans break the line to the meat head 20feet behind the boat.
I was in 100feet, mag dipseys out 120 and 150.
What are you running for leader?

Makes sense with the lake flip

Chinook divers are all I use for divers for kings in the summer. Size 5 on the 4 setting

Be careful Manny, you see how my kids have turned out.
You are doing it right.
I used to put the boys in a ground blind under the tree during deer season with drinks and snacks. I’d be in my climber above. Like you I had them on the boat at a young age.
You have so much to look forward to.
You never want to be the guy that realizes he didn’t spend enough time with his family after it’s too late to fix it.
Thankfully I’m not that guy either.
BlessedThat’s a great picture Bill! You did a great great job. I’m looking forward to the many memories made
