  2. The excitement is awesome! Obviously many of the attributes that make us different from the other tournaments seem to be gaining momentum. I have billed this as the tournament for fisherman by fisherman for a reason. At this time were not doing what hasnt been done or been tried before were just putting what the others arnt currently using into its own package and running with it. Its important for us to convey that although we are different there are common threads we all share. For instance if you choose to fish the KOTL series this season your scores from the Wilson Invitational will be used to calculate your total. On the Pro Am side of things you will see a familiar face on our stage as well Mr Bill Hilts will be helping us out. Yvan , Bill and Bob have alll offered their assistance and helped us with addresses and offered their scales. Tournaments these days are what the weekend anglers of years past come to do now. Hitting the water for a marathon day of King fishing isnt enough for most anymore. To be honest our tournament is all about bringing it back together again old friends new places and a scocial event for everyone to enjoy after the "bullsh*ting" stops for the day. Heres a thought myself, Yvan and Bob have tossed around the last few weeks, a true lake champian would be the most consistant across all 3 formats. How cool whould it be to compile the scores across the first three tournamenst of the season and crown a Grand Slam winner at the Niagara Pro Am? Just food for thought? Anyways were glad your excited and glad to have your support Im enjoying my walk to the mail box now

  3. Wow how long has it been Pete? Wecome back! Its awesome to have it be December and there be such a buzz. I have to admit in the two weeks since launching the tournament and even before it is certainly a thrill to be talking eating breathing fishing with all the hard water around us. Glad to know you all approve and support our efforts. Love to read the reports keep them coming. There is WAY more to come so stay tuned!

  4. Please keep in mind.............space is limited for this event. By launching the tournament 6 months in advance we hoped it may help in the planning process. On our end it helps us collect all your info before you get here in May. On your end less paper work for you and better perspective on whats coming your way. Dont wait till the last minute as there will not be room for everyone. As always any questions you know where to find me.

  5. Well I wish i could take the credit. This event has been in the works for years. Mike Lis and I threw it around years ago hoping we might have the opportunity to do something someday. Quite honestly up to now Rick, Billy, Mike and Tom Allen have been a huge asset and have helped tremendously to get us here. In the end we are hoping the anglers and sponsors determine the direction, more of this less of that. Collectivly we want this to be a cant miss for everyone. Hopefully the weather and the fishing cooperate and we can all look forward to the Banquet the eats and entertainment. Imagine a win, a ton of cash in your hand, and 300 of your peers looking on. Thats what im talking about.............

  6. Thanks for all the support, we are basically picking up where the Salmon Slam left off. We are growing up and moving on to the next phase. The Wilson Harbor Invitational takes the best attributes of all those before us and attempts to put everyone on the same field in the same capacity. We prefer to think of it as a tournament for fisherman by fisherman. In a nutshell a reasonable quota, competant anglers, the seasons best fishing at the most opportunistic time and place. All we can hope for is good weather. With most tournaments it is all about the fishing, well we are mostly about the fishing. Still the reason we all do this, there is a tremendous sense of responsibility when it comes to the biggest pieces of the pie. You the angler and of course our generous sponsors deserve to see their names in lights and recognizing everyone involved is what we are all about. At the end of the day we are hopeful you enjoy the format and alll the festivities that go along with it. Most of the information is posted on our website, which we will update frequetly. Remember as you get your invites there are deadlines so dont miss out on the early bird drawing. As always questions and concerns are always welcome as we look forward to spring!
