  1. 15-20 years ago my father cough a big football brown in eel bay, pike fishing in July with shiners. Was talking to a guy while camping at Wellsley a couple of years ago and told him that story. he told me hes been fishing up there since he was a kid (well into his 70s) and said that he had pulled a few browns and Lakers from that side of the island at different times of the year.

  2. Was up camping at wisp all last week ...water is high, docks are flooded and rocks and shoals that you normally see are hiding. We did make a few trips around the island one was to see the fireworks at Bolt castle at night. The currents didn't seem any different then normal. And at least for us the fishing sucked ....hit up all the normal spots that produced fish for us over the years and only managed a few small perch and rock bass and one pike. STILL WAY BETTER THEN BEING AT WORK !!!!  Oh and talking to the guys at the bait store  are really enforcing the speed limit. Haha guy told me you could be out in a boat with no numbers drinking a beer giving the bird and they would prob let you go ....too much ripple in the water WATCH OUT

  3. No its a outboard 85 hp evinrude circa 1973 the boat is only 16 foot ....I looked up some schematic on marineengine.com (of course all the seals I need are obsolete) but from what I can tell it looks like 3 O-rings. Im going to keep looking online an checking the oil till I put it to bed for the winter. Hopefully I can find a kit or parts to make life a little easier. t im thinking if I do pull it apart and it is just O-rings( hopefully) I hove lots of them rom my tranny rebuild days lol

  4. Ok so i want to add the swr to the arsenal but i dont want to dedicate another rod to copper as i only have a few. I also dont want to spend a lot of time with a rod out of the water while tying on 2 color. So my question is if i were to tie up some 2 color with a 15-20ft floro leader should could i tie another piece of line on to the front side of the leadcore with a swivel for easy on off of the main line or would that kill the action of the rig? Or should i try and tie a swivel right on to the leadcore with maybe a surgens loop? And i guess question 2 would be about how far off the ball should i run it?

  5. Went for a run last night with the family and when i got home i noticed that one of the rams on my trim unit was leaking i did also notice that it was a little sluggish when i was pulling the boat out of the water onto the trailer. My question is does anybody know of anyone who would rebuild these units at least the ram ? Im thinking its just the upper seals but the unit is so old i cant seem to find replacement parts and i dont really want to look for a newer one and screw around with the fit and controls or the price tag haha. This has been a great unit for me and would hate to lose it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I am mechanicaly inclined also so i guess i could do it myself if i could find the correct seals/parts.

    Thanks

    John

  6. Ok so im cleaning out the shed and found this gem and having ice fished for many years i know that having even a less then pristine shelter is better then none at all. So if anyone who is just getting into the sport or anyone with small children, who like my self know if they are warm and happy u get to fish longer have i got the shelter for you. First come first serve unless you have a 19 foot Islander you would like to trade me for it ...you go to the head of the line haha [emoji28] ....585 749 4271 John post-147961-14692049264176_thumb.jpgpost-147961-14692049316047_thumb.jpg

  7. Ok guys sorry if this offends anyone but this site seems a lot better than craigslist for selling things plus I most likely wont get a ton of spam haha. But the way im thinking these have to do with hunting and fishing cause if you dont have tires on your truck ...well youre not going. Anyways I recently bought a truck and the kid i bought it from had tires that didnt really suit my fancy i guess you would say so id like to sell them and the alum rims that they are mounted on.

4 -285/70/r17 open country tires mounted on black alum rims with 2 inch hub spacers included there is between 12-14/32 left on the tires. They came off of a 2006 dodge ram 1500 the bolt patern of the rims will also fit a jeep and most other year dodges.

Im asking $1000 for all four and the spacers but im willing to entertain any reasonable offer as i want them outta my garage ( blocking the boat ) and i have a little one on the way due now any day. Any other questions about them please feel free to message me. I live in greece but would be will to travel a little bit if that helps.
