I wonder if a spike/scrub buck tag would work. 4 or less points and lower than double height of the ears. Hoping that the bucks were over a year old.
might help with the jene pool
id pay triple for sabbots right now.

Not even coffee gets you up in the morning like your wife telling you she hears grunting in the back yard.

Never seen pears on the ground and this year there was some low enough for a deer to pick.
They just started hitting them.
defiantly a different year. Also with all the dead ash the under growth is out of control.

Nothing like having the brow tines above the ears! Insane

Massive! All the other bucks must be happy to not fight him anymore. That right club would do some damage.

Wanted to get out before the rain but 5:30 woke up and the rain started.
Went out at 10 til it rained at 2 and saw two bucks. Got home and a doe and young son were in the backyard. The deercast app had poor movement but i think the deer are on their feet. The rest of the woods was alive and loud.
Fun hunt to get it started.

Anybody practice past sunset to the new shooting time?
I could see but it wasn't easy and that was a black block target on green grass.
sight pin lights were bad.
Could be better using a single pin and larger peep sight?

Thanks again for this thread! Cant wait.
haven't seen or heard a lot of action on the near by state land.
hope the public knows slugs are flying one week in September as they walk their dog in 80* weather.
also allows poachers tons of extra opportunities. Looks normal to be out. have a slug gun. Kill deer. O Thought it was a doe. And shoot early and later. Ny velvet bucks watch out.

Love the mixed bag.
Are you changing things to target different species or getting all of them on a spread and area?

Glad to see we have those resources and they practice.
Sure hope the dead ash/standing firewood goes away without a fire.
Hate to be like the west coast and other areas of the world or would we be worse with all the dead dried vertical firewood?

I had good luck on ebay for a 1100 rem choke bird barrel.
If nothing works the lightfeilds shoot great in both rifled and smooth bore barrels.

Are the shallow waters different this year with the low water?
I couldn’t believe how much green algae there is already near shore this early in the year.

Any one know the differences between i-pilot and i-pilot link?
I have 800 series hummingbird which I don’t think can link to the minnkota.
I have an iphone and ipad with navionics. Does that work via Bluetooth with both minn kotas?
Any one running the trolling motor to steer the boat while the main motor is driving?
I assume any waves it would be tough to hold a line and the trolling motor could be out of the water when the bow is up on a wave.
