Reel Overtime

I had a sport pilot installed by anchor marine in erie, june 2011. This autopilot was given to my wife for a mothers day gift, ya!! she was not impressed. First time we used it she loved it, now she sits on the front and sun tans while I fish, nice. A tech from raymarine talked to me for an hour reasuring my that the bugs were worked out of the old system and this new one will work fine and it does. We mainly fish erie for walleye at 1.5 to 2.0 mph. Only down fall is that its noisy , hope you have good luck with yours.

I have had the same issue, I bought a new carb off E- bay (dont do that) after two carbs sent back I had Anchor marine in erie do a rebuild on the carb, Runs like new now. Also while trolling I run two drift bags and run r.p.m. at about 900 to 1100 all day long and no issue loading up.

I had one (sport x5) installed by anchor marine in erie pa. July 2011. Put it on a 267 four winns with mercruiser260 hp I/O. This was given to my wife for her mothers day gift!!

Ya, she was not impressed, Untill we fished with it, don't know how we went so long without one. It worked great in ruff sea 5' to 6' or flat, mainly troll for walleye at 1.5 mph

I just the new version of this installed on my Four Winns 267 and it works great. I have been looking for an auto pilot for a long time that would work for my boat, I was on the phone with raymarine for info on this and was told that the new one is redone and past issues are corrected. This was installed by Anchor marine in erie pa. They are distributers and certified installers. I dont know how we ever fished so long with out one.

We have the HDS 8 and I did the same thing, after about an hour I call lawerence and had a tech. walk me through. There should be a black dot beside the trails to indicate your marking lines.

I just bought a sport pilot from boatdeals.com for 1600.00 and can't wait to try it.

This mounts on stearing wheel and from what raymarine tech. told me that these units were pulled from market lasy year after some issues and redone.
