    Ok everyone, i think he's had enough of a spanking. Let's all just move forward and hope all this has given everyone a learning experience. Let's all just enjoy the lake and put this post behind us. We all have misspoken a time or two. The lake is producing great numbers. This is the time for new and old to hone their skills. Happy fishing to all. It's GB oing to be another great year.

    I couldn't agree more, but it was working for us. Sometimes they like it fast sometimes they like it slow. Just have to find which one for that day. Those numbers u posted are starting points. Also printed on the back of most lure packages. But not always the case.

    IMHO, your down speed is too slow for consistent salmon and too fast for consistent Lakers, 2.8-3.0 for salmon with the occasional laker, 1.8-2 for lakers with the occasional salmon. Just my thought, they are there, my screen has been pretty quiet out of ibay but have had pretty good luck.

    They usually move west by june. Not much luck in front of the river past may. (Until September of course). Best water was 140 to 170. Right at the temp break from 52 to 49. Everything was firing. Meat,dipsey,spoons, and flies. Work the drop offs. Pay attention to the current. 2.2 to 2.6 down speed was the ticket. Start with glows white and red early. Move to natural colors as the sun gets higher.

    I don't get out that way to often. But trying to hook up with another seller in Geneva. Hopefully i can kill 2 birds with 1 stone. But otherwise Geneva is a little far for the price.

    That is the ethics of boating. But not all agree. About 7 years ago i was testing a 17 lund. All was well in the beginning. Then motor died and would not start. I was only 2 maybe 3 hundred yards out side of genesee pier. Wind picked up and was sending me towards the rocks. I was flagging and and trying to get ppls attention. A charter boat captain came over just to tell me he can't help because he was on a charter. Off he went. A lady from shore called it in. I know who this captain is. He is from port of Rochester. I will never forgive him. Sheriff boat got to me just in time. Hope all stays safe out there. Happy fishing.
