  3. How far would you say the range is? Sent from my SM-N900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. Are the portable vhf radios of any use or are they a waste. I hear they are rated for 5-6 miles, but can anyone confirm that? Being the same price as fixed I don't want to waste my money. But adding price on the antenna they are still cheaper. Not particularly fond on drilling and mounting more equipment in my new boat as well. 5. Got a few videos but nothing to see. Just flashers spinning and loud rigger cable noise. Sent from my SM-N900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. Trolled 20'-80'. Most fish were in 25-50 fow. Sent from my SM-N900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. Fishing on north end was terrible. 1 brown 5 perch 2 pike and 3 smallmouth. Trolled with spoons on leadcores and riggers. Not what we were looking for. Hit a bunch of rainbows last time out running the same program. Sent from my SM-N900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. Has anyone fished the lake recently. How is the bite? Sent from my SM-N900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  12. Walleyes are around point peninsula to point salibrious. You will see the charters. There's still a few eyes around bull rock as well. Sent from my SM-N900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. Stony is super slow! Anywhere but there would be better. Sent from my SM-N900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. the windshield looks great, but I think it was shipped with bananas! Searched the boat high and low after the aerator didn't work. Found no signs of bananas. Checked the fuses and aerator worked again. It's a good thing the lake was nice other wise I would have been completely miserable, not just mostly miserable. As for the eyes I have no idea, you guys were using an electric trolling motor and I was using the kicker. Even though it was about as low as it goes, it's still noisier than an electric. I don't know, never had a positive attitude all weekend I think that had a lot to do with it.Sent from my SM-N900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. What a waste of time. Worst fishing weekend I have had since I can remember. 1 laker 1 brown. In 2 days of fishing. I threw the kitchen sink at them. Couldn't even get Lakers off the finger with attractors. Lots of bait around. Sent from my SM-N900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. I run 17lb trilene xt to a small spro swivel then a leader no longer than the rod length. Have not broke the main yet. Have caught plenty of fish. Let the fish run and fight that's half the fun. Sent from my SM-N900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. Thanks guys for the input. Sent from my SM-N900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. Do they have counters? Sent from my SM-N900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. My reels are tekota 600 with 1000' torpedo wire. Even with a cheaper rod I could use a roller tip instead of a twilli. Is this a smoother setup? Sent from my SM-N900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. What does everyone prefer? Roller tip, twilli tip, or full roller rods. I am leaning towards the 10' talora roller rods, but do not want to spend the extra $300 on a pair if the advantages of an all roller rod are not that great. Are there other options available? 21. thanks captain! Sent from my SM-N900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. Drowned island is good on the inside for browns. Outside is laker city. Some browns mixed in. Did very well Sunday there and all last weekend. Spoons on the boards and riggers work great. Have not run sticks because the spoons seem to out produce. Might hit a screamer like we did both days last weekend and get a king. Sent from my SM-N900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. Haha..nope..no carpet in the back. But I am rigging a hose to attach to the front live well for a washdown. Haha Sent from my SM-N900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. That water can change everyday depending on the wind direction. Stony point was 41° Sunday morning and down to drowned island was 46-48. Last year it did this and by memorial day I'd was crystal clear cold water in black river bay. It can change quickly. When we came in Sunday the temp just off stony was already up to 44 from the west winds. Sent from my SM-N900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
