  1. Has anyone fished or heard anything about fishing on cayuga. I know the lampreys are bad but fishing can be good as well. Thoughts and reports would be appreciated. Sent from my DROID X2 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. Do you ever fish for trout out there?
  3. I will be out too. "Aqua therapy" white lund. Sent from my VS910 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. I will be hitting seneca saturday. Is lodi launch still open?
  5. Stinger, those things are the reason I avoid cayuga. I have seen some monster atlantics cruisin the surface early in the spring and have seen fish tear lighter tackle up, but hate lampreys. Seneca is not that bad for lampreys and had decent success there a morning in August. Owasco was super tough this year before walleye opened. A buddy of mine tried it a month ago and was skunked. Soo unless someone can provide a decent report for owasco I am leaning towards seneca. Sent from my VS910 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. Looking for any info as to where the best fishing is right now. The salmon have slowed down on the big lake and I'm not ready to put the boat away. I have fished all the fingerlakes and have plenty of gear. Just want the best action. Looking for mainly landlocks and rainbows. Sent from my VS910 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. I don't think it was uv 2 face. They have plenty of uv flashers. Just not this exact one.Sent from my VS910 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. Got out tonight for an hour and a half. Caught 1 coho and had 2 other releases. Not ready to call it quits yet.
  9. Its flat uv tape no texture Sent from my VS910 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. The depthmasters work well for spoon rods. Have fought fought plenty of fish on them with no issues. Kings as well. Sent from my VS910 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. Stinger is out of chrome blades. No one has any. Sent from my VS910 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. Yes fleettracker forgot to mention that! Sent from my VS910 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. You got it. Glad we got some fish. Sent from my VS910 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. Also managed a whiting on flasher and fly. TRACKERHUNTER failed to mention all fish were taken sunday am 545-11am and sunday evening 430-730 to go 4-4 had 2 dipsey rips but no one home as well. Sent from my VS910 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. Plenty of fish out there. Just a tough year. The trench was more productive in the first attempt at staging fish, than fishing in front of the salmon river for 3 weekends. Use everything you have and keep a variety in your spread. All fish came on different colors and different presentations. Sent from my VS910 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  18. Bobs boy, that fish deserves a lot better mount. So sorry to see that but happy you shared. I am going to use Paul Czarnecki for a king I caught on the 4th of july. He is pricey but an artist, quality will not be a concern. Sent from my VS910 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. Exactly steelfire. Just don't hang the fish vertical. I hold them right against the boat. Keep hands and fingers out of the gill area as well. Sent from my VS910 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. That may be true but they have a better chance surviving in the lake than they do in an ice box. Revived and released one that seemed to swim right for the bottom on sunday. I'm sure theres some truth to lactic acid theory, but if your not going to eat it and have already kept enough to give away, watching a fish swim away seems to be the right thing to do. Keep the net handy if they do go belly up and retrieve it. Sent from my VS910 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. Temp might matter but I managed to take 8 salmon over the course of 2 days from water in the 60's. Just to spoil the temp theory. Its mid august, there life cycle is drawing them closer to spawning areas. Sent from my VS910 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. Went out last saturday. Started trolling the edge half mile before boridino in 60-120'. Caught plenty of 17" lakers and only 1 small bow and 2 small landlocks. Plenty of action just no size. First time I fished it all year so mot sure what the bows and landlocks want. Usually first thing in am is the best bet with presentations away from the boat.
