Swing and a miss , Lake was a little bumpy this morning. Fished from 6-11. No takers, marked a ton of bait and fish mixed in. Tried spoons, meat rigs and flasher/ fly fished in 80-204 ft Beautiful area, I’ll have to try here again in May.

Coming up today to fish tomorrow. Hope the lake calms down like they are forecasting. Trying to decide between launching at Olcott like I normally do or heading to Fort Niagara to fish the bar. Anyone headed out tomorrow as well? I'll update from the lake tomorrow hope the fish are hungry after the rough weather today.

Just a heads up, I'm planning in Olcott next weekend weather permitting.

I have a 1106 60" Electric Downrigger for sale on a traxstech track mount. I have the original plug and socket for it , never used. ( I used my rear electric trolling motor outlet to operate it) Its a great downrigger and I've had no issues with it. Only reason I'm selling it is because I'm selling my boat. I'm in Dayton Ohio, But can meet in up, or ship it. Comes with a 8lbs ball

I mostly looked at the Crestliner Raptor, STX 2050 , Starcraft Fishmaster, and Lund Pro V. The main reason I choose the STX was due to the deeper V haul than the Lund or Crestliner, and rod storage vs the Fishmaster. I didn't even consider the Crestliner Sportfish because I didn't view it as a pure fishing boat, it has a lot of features I don't look for in a boat.

Yep it came out in 2015, figures on year after I bought my 2050STX Starcraft. I love my STX, but I would love the extra room the Authority offers. I go some good feed back on Walleye central. If I can sell my Starcraft I will definitely pick one up.

Any Authority owners out there?? I have been looking at this boat pretty hard. How's your experience so far? How's the ride, do you feel the seats are too far forward? How's it track for trolling? Do you have a trolling motor up front? Top end speed? That size main motor did you go with?

Not good out of Olcott today, Fished from 6:30 until 1:30. Tried from right in the mouth to 175ft out both east and west of the mouth. Very few marks, water temp was 68F Lots of guys on the pier and 7 or 9 other trolling. Talk to one guy back at the dock that landed one chinook but he commented that fishing wa ms really slow. Going to try the niagara bar next time. Hopefully soon.

Heck you can build your dream boat with Fishrite boats, I'm looking at a 24 Performer Open Bow. Fishability and a smooth ride are a must plus having one thats trailerable is huge so you can go to the fish are.

Coming up this weekend 12-14 hoping to find out what depth and direction to start to probing for lake trout.
Also what speed is better for lakers? I see most the salmon guys flying around at 2.5- 3.1 But I have found on the internet something closer to 1.9-2.2 , goin to try the bounce bounce bang method with a lake troll and spin n glow.
thanks for the help hope to give a great report on monday!!!
