Please make sure your boat is in order for a saftey inspection. I seen a lot of tickets handed out yesterday while at the state launch. Alot!! If you are all set it only takes about 5 minutes.

Kane and I fished 27-28 lines for three hours. Caught small King on a Hammer fly, and two steelhead on spoons. Trolled South at the end and never marked a fish or bait under 400'. I will take it for first trip of the year.

You should check out the Summer LOC leaderboard. That will tell you everything you need to know. On a good note,..my biggest fish the last few years have come in the first two weeks of July. You will be OK. Gook luck.

IF that's a Fishmaster,I think a great area would be right in front of the motor overhanging the splash well. Add a wash down pump and it would be sweet. I know this doesn't answer your question and your board would have to be redone to accommodate the shape of the splash well and tilt of the motor., but just a thought.

Maybe looking for a nesting location. Hooded mergansers nest in trees.

I have four convector 30's purchased within the last two years and all the drags are sticky. 2 spooled with mono,2 with wire. Its the only thing I don't like about them. I deal with it because they are reasonably priced and I don't believe it has ever cost me a fish. Yet!

Slingha..nobody is screaming. I love Amazon and I think everything you have written is correct. I'm just saying that we need to keep local shops in mind. Cabelas is another story. Ordered some pants from them December 25th. Back ordered. On January 25th still no word. Canceled order and ordered from Amazon. Here two days later. That's hard to beat.

I think Amazon can beat everyone on price...but it is still important to buy from the local shops like Narby's and Captains Cove. These shops are always competitive and they have what you want now.

Are you sure that "Scaup" isn't a ringneck? Looks to be white around the base of the bill. Could just be the picture and I am looking at it on my phone.

First time out this year for salmon. Started in 100fow and trolled North to 450 and turned around. Caught four fish in between. Two 8 pounders, one 15 pounder and one at 27 pounds 8ounce. Fish was caught by my son Kane. Fish was caught at 8:30 pm so couldn't get it to the board. All good though. We had great time and the thrill of seeing a decent King hit the deck never gets old. Caught fish on live wire, green dots spin doctors with atomic flys and spoons on the riggers
