    Identifying hydraulic fluid

    I bought a new boat last year, 2001 Pro Line 25 walk. It has a Seastar steering system. I just added a Simrad autopilot and changed the seals on the Seastar steering ram. I need to bleed and fill the hydraulic fluid. I'm not sure what hydraulic fluid that is currently in the system. How can I identify the fluid? It is red in color but does not smell like ATF. I contacted the previous owner and they never touched the steering system so they didn't know what type of fluid that was used. Any help would be appreciated.

    Still have some colored water in close to the east. Been here since the high winds from Friday and Saturday. Weather not the best this morning but the fish loved it. Back and forth in front of the 2nd and 3rd bluffs was the best spot for us today. 4 made it in the boat today and one broke free at the back of the boat. 1 cookie cutter, 2 about 8 lbs and one really nice 12 pounder. Everything on spoons for us. Greens and green with yellow worked best. Sorry I can never remember the spoon names. A little chilly and damp but a good day out there. It did get better as the day went on. Gonna keep trying the rest of the week when we can.

    Fish Hawk transducer location

    I'm installing my fish hawk x4 on my new 2001 Pro-Line 25 walkaround. I have duel Simrad evo2 units with duel transducers. How close can I mount the fish hawk transducer to the Simrad transducer without getting interference with either unit? Anyone here have Simrad electronics or knowledge to help me mount the fish hawk transducer only once?

    Cuomos new ruling

    He was asked and hinted about it at his press conference the other day. It wasn't definite at the time but was a possibility. He mentioned the date of May 1st so naturally they had to make it later. That's why the governors made the announcement before Trump has his call with them this afternoon. Trump is supposed to lay out his start up plan at his press conference today.

    This is all political now. They know Trump wants to open the country up starting May 1st. This is about the governor's making the decision and not letting Trump or the federal government make the decision. Trump and the government bent over backwards to help NY and the hardest hit cities and states and this is the thanks he gets. At this point I feel it needs to be a personal decision. If you don't feel safe or for health issues want to stay home by all means stay home. But the rest of us want to get back to our lives and work.
