  1. The two Reveals I got from Bass Pro last week are in the field and performing flawlessly. I'm not a huge fan of the software interface, but It's not horrible. Just a few quirks as to where information can be found...like, data showing how far into your monthly allotment of images you are is buried in a sub-menu, and you need to have all of your cameras on the same plan, so there's no mix-and-match option for cameras that you expect to take less photos. The good news is that cameras share photos, though.

    Two thumbs up so far.
Ive noticed the software can be a little laggy when trying to download pictures but works. It's almost like you didn't hit the button then will download it twice. Nice thing too is when you deactivate the camera service any time you have left its applied to the next time you reactivate your subscription.

  2. Time to sell my ATV so we can upgrade to a side by side the whole family can all ride.

As the title states it's a 2011, I'm the original owner bought as a leftover in 2012. It has only been used around my property and my buddies for hunting and once for ice fishing. It has a 2" lift i installed shortly after i bought the ATV with intentions of putting bigger tires and wheels but never got that far. Has new battery last week and fresh oil change done every fall. This machine has a plow with homemade bracket that easily detaches. Winch is a viper max 3500 installed 3 years ago. I plowed 1 season then bought a truck mounted plow.

Machine is in great condition zero issues.

    Asking $5200

This is located 10 miles south of Watkins Glen.

Any questions or concerns please contact me at (315) 521-5005

  3. I’ve seen a big increase in fishing pressure on the river both before and during the early bass season. Many more recreational and tournament fishermen and many from out of state. This is good for the local economy but perhaps not for the fishery. Tournament fishermen catch many fish with most being released but still stressed. Recreational fishermen and those fishing with guides keeping many for the table.
My grandsons are starting to enjoy fishing and I hope DEC keeps a careful eye on maintaining the sustainability our great resource.

That and the eyes in the winter...i can't believe they haven't instituted a slot limit for the winter. This is also coming from a guy that loves jigging them thru the ice.

  4. Perfect! Our cabin is actually a bit south, a few miles below Henderson, so that's why I asked about the bigger bays, but I'll let them know about these, as well. Thank you!
If they fish chaumont they could launch in chaumont or long point state park. If they want to fish stony or galloo they could launch out of the isthmus state launch. If they leave out of henderson we always used to fish bass and gull islands. If they are after smallies the drops and humps are usually most productive.

As for etiquette, no one owns the water. I would recommended not running 50mph close to guys still fishing. Being a chaumont resident that's really the only thing that torques my shorts. We usually call those ones bassholes.

  5. What do you guys like for fertilizer.. no access to a hose.. do you like calcium or nitrogen? Pellets or spray
I know some mixes call for urea after it sprouts. You really need to do a soil test to see what you need to add for your plot mix. Not all mixes need the same thing. 1 thing I'm certain you'll need is lime and likely lots of it. Unless the soil has been worked yearly and maintained you'll need a lot of lime.

  6. Chas

Can you clarify your set up for me.  Did you install your new steering ram onto the factory power assist cylinder?  But then took the factory power assist cylinder out of the loop by disconnecting the factory hydraulic line going from the power steering pump back to the assist cylinder?  And by this your basically just using the factory power assist cylinder as a "mounting bracket" for the new ram?

If this is the case that is fantastic to know.  Because Ive been wanting to take the factory power assist pump and cylinder out of the equation.  But I wasnt sure if it would work.
Hey for anyone wondering the following is what i had ordered for the swap and hooking up my old autopilot:

-2.4 Seastar helm (non sport it has to be for unbalanced cylinder)
    -Bravo 1 cylinder
-SeaStar hoses (used old steering cable length for hose length)
    -Octopus SeaStar autopilot kit

The ram went into the old cable steering housing. i cut and looped the old hoses to each other on the PS pump and the old assist ram. It is as easy or easier steering than my old outboard baystar setup on my old johnson 150. I used the octopus hoses because they were easy and clean.

My autopilot is the Raymarine EV-100 hydraulic. It was real close to the cut off for the cc of the pump but i cant complain it has been doing great.

  7. Well guys i made the switch then ordered the idler and bracket for the non- power assist mercruiser to bolt in place. Right now i just have the power steering pump looped and the lines at the back on the assist ram looped as well. The steering is so easy now and the hydraulic auto pilot works great on the main and kicker. I'll post some before and after pictures when i get the new brackets bolted in. It'll be a couple weeks.
