Maybe the fish ran you into some branches and collected the mussels then?

I live in PA, we had 75% coverage and very little changed in terms of daylight and temperature. Fairly underwhelming but cool to experience.

Power boaters were bad yesterday! We managed a decent walleye before getting scared off by them as well.

Eclipse Angling!
Anyone out fishing today please post your results during the peak of the Eclipse. I'll be very interested to see how it affects the bite.

No comparison between the two IMHO. Sharks are hands down the best you option, but you will pay for them. I have a pair of Bikinibottom's and can't say enough how pleased i am with my purchase.

New generation...
Money = entitlement.
Its not just my generation either. Some guys my age are very respectful... I agree with what some else said... EVERYONE should take a boating course... Just because you were born on a certain date and grand fathered in so you don't need the course... Doesn't make you sea worthy... Guy charging at you would of known fishing vessels have the right of way... I took a course when I was 15 or so... Parents forced it on us... But I use to cruise the St. Lawrence... Can be very dangerous out there

I'm one of the "new generation" fisherman out there. I can't count the number of times I've been run over by power boaters/fisherman of all ages. I do 100% agree a mandatory course should be put in place.

Very nice fish! I got one that size on my UL rigger rod the other day. Took my linecounter out to 300 from 75 before I could stop him!

That stuff is nasty and bad on Owasco right now. I was pretty ill after going for a swim last Saturday.

Owasco had at least one out and boy do they do a bad job marking those nets! The buoy is about the size of a volleyball and I saw it just it time while up on plane. Could only imagine if I trolled up next to it...

Lakers are still hungry but slower today. This one couldn't be revived sadly.

Last falls king run on Owasco was disappointing...

That's awesome John, love his smile. I struggled a little but managed a nice bow too and a big laker. Went 14 pounds on my scale.
