I know how you guys feel, I've been fishing lakeO since the 80's but I always had 18ft boats that were easy to tow and load and I always fished for walleye and bass, since the early 2000's I got hooked on trolling for eyes and then I got turned on to the silver fish. I have a camper in the Black River camp ground and so I trailer over to Henderson and fish the trench and Stoney Point and the north side of Galoo, But I always had to pick and choose my days due to the wind and waves any more then 2-3 footers I was done with my boat. So I made a decision to go bigger and bought a 22ft Sea Ray cuddy I had to put a lot of work into it but that's the only way I could afford a boat of that size, so 2 years later I finally got it all together and made a shake down run on a lake near home and all went well, so now all I have to do is put the canopy on and head north. It's been 2 years since I've been on lakeO and with a boat that seems huge to me it's going to be interesting for the first couple of hours till I get the hang of everything, so see what happens. You guys will be OK and so will I just be a little nervous, but I'm sure we will catch fish and have a good time, then all our hard work will be behind us and fish ON from there. PAP

Is this a charter business going out of business? Why are the prices just about what you can buy new? 11,000.00 worth of stuff for $2800.00 just rounding it off. Wise man once told me if it sounds to good to be true it usually is?

Where can you purchase the 19 strand wire and the from what I read you will need a twilly tip where can you purchase those also. Next can you use a line counter reel? and what size reel do you recommend, thanks PAP I think that's all I'll need to complete my arsenal. I purchased 30# sea flea from blood run for my rigger rods and I have 2 28# lead cores ready to go so that will give me 6 rods in the water, most of the time I only have 1 guy with me, if I add a slider or 2 I'll have my hands full, I've been out of the link for 2 years for various reasons mainly motor issues which are resolved now. Cant wait to hit the water!! PAP.

I don't use the OE cannon plugs either, what I used is minkota trolling motor plugs male & female bought them at the bargain barn at Cabelas, and used 10 gage wire with 15 amp breakers and never had a problem with anything and the male end of the troll motor plug has a nice fitting rubber plug to use when not using the riggers.

Walleye LOU-ALL I would be interested, I'm in the process in bringing my boat up in a week or two, I finally got it all together 2 years in the making what a better way to break her in with all us walleye guys together, even if I don't have boat I would make the run up just for the first get together, hand shakes and a beer sounds good enough for me, so count me in. Come up with a date & time if I'm not up there it's a 4.5 hour drive for me, but I can stay at our camp in the Black River Camp Grounds, which I would trailer down from if we are going to fish a little!!! I just purchased 2 of the 330 spools directly from Blood Run and had it in 3 days, I live in PA.

If you hooked up jumper cables, and nothing changed as far as the starter, then the starter is bad, either the armature is bad or the magnets are loose from the case causing the starter to drag resulting in a slow turning starter. Take it off and take it to a local rebuilder, if he can't fix it he should be able to get you a GOOD after market unit for half the price of the dealer, hopes this helps. F&F Starter & Alt. Sitting on the outside looking inside I can see both players at fault here, your sons feels the dude in the boat was there for a reason probably, and you a very well mannered human being just should have known better, and $hit happens, I commend you for manning up to this situation, most people would have tried something else especially if the moderator didn't know the situation But for your sons sake he's thinking what the hell is this guy even doing on our boat if he didn't say something right away about 2 many rods on the water, it was his time and effort.and mostly his pride stripped away be cause of human error. Us walleye guys get it, not every day or night will produce, perseverance will prevail. The walleye gods are looking down on us, soon it will be the turn of the seasons then it's game on for us, keep us posted on that lake, may want to hit it on the return trip from lake O after the Black River camp grounds close up for the season, which seems to be earlier every year?

I reread your post and from what I gather, it won't turn over? it could be the aux. solenoid and all boats have one, first we need to locate it, if it's an outboard it's mounted on the engine itself and if it's an I/O it's mounted somewhere near the starter it should be black with 3 or 4 terminals on it 2 larger ones where power from the battery goes, YOU will need a test light, if you don't have one any auto parts store has them get one in the $10.00 to $15.00 one you don't need the top of the line one for this, take the alligator end an put it on a good ground, the engine block bolt or any place that isn't real rusty then put the light end on the top post you should have a bright light telling you that your ground is good and you have power there, than have someone turn the key to the start position and find the smaller wire on the solenoid should be any other color than black, black usually is a ground wire if it's a 4 terminal solenoid that should light up when key is in the start position, then while keeping the key in the start position move the light to the other bigger terminal and that should light up, to double check your self with the key in the start position you should have light (power) on the top bigger post the smaller terminal and the other larger post if you don't have power on the lower stud then the aux solenoid is bad and needs to be replaced, to check if the solenoid is grounded, put the alligator clip on the ground wire on the aux. sol. and touch the light end to the upper stud the has battery power and the light should light up, if it doesn't then you don't have a ground to the aux. sol. this could be a problem also, so might have to remedy that if that is an issue. If all that passes than it's off to the starter, you will need about 2ft of 10-12 gage wire with a alligator clip on one end and the other end you don't need anything, take the ,alligator clip end and clip it to the start side of the starter solenoid if it's a GM. style starter it will be on the right side of the starter looking at it from the back of the starter, and touch the other end to the power side of the solenoid, this can be done from the top post of the starter, first make sure that there is power at the top post on the starter, if not go to the aux. sol. for power if it doesn't do anything it might be the starter, providing all checks out with the aux. sol. 9 times out of 10 it's the aux sol. or a bad ground. Hope this helps you out. if you can't get it figured out PM. me and I will give you my cell # and I will try to walk you through it. Suck when nobody will help when you pay good money to store your boat there and they won't help you out. I know where you are and tried to deal with that guy, he's tough to deal with. PAP
