  1. Awesome job there Whaler1!! Congrats to the landing without a net!! I wish to hell I would have thought of the bogo when the my daughters had that laker next to the boat, I thought of grabbing by the gill plate, but my boat is so deep I couldn’t reach it by inches!! Excited and pissed at the same time I never gave that a thought!! If you don’t use your head you might as well be an azz on both ends:lol:!! Congrats my friend. PAP

I'd start with a call to Cannon.  I just replaced EVERYTHING in one of my mag 10's and with shipping the motor, switch, circuit breaker, and circuit board were only $150 total.  Easy to deal with Cannon and easy to do yourself.  If you want screwy Louie's to do it by appointment while you wait to save a trip its$100 just for labor!  Absurd!  Took me 15 minutes or so

Check your terminals at Battery. I had an issue when I hit my power trim (mercuiser) the engine would almost stall right out or change rpms when using riggers . Positive was a little loose, tightened and all was fine.

  4. Screwy Lewy's or such not sure on the spelling of lewies?? Also fish307/fishusa I think. Also your local auto electric rebuilder should be able to help. I made many brushes for the up mode in cannons mag 10's!! Now if they want to bothered?? Not all were as eager to dip into a can of worms. Any rebuilder should take that job on if they are a reputable rebuilder. Most problems I ran into was fatigued brush springs from guys pulling 12# weights or more. If magnates in case are still intact shouldn't be an issue. If you pull the case apart mark top and bottom with different color marks they can be put together assbackwards!!  PAP.

  5. I had a starter & alt rebuild shop and we did a lot of electrical deliemias, did this just start? Most all electrical problems are a result of a bad ground which is actually worse than weak batteries with a good ground, as alternator will compensate the battery for awhile until other weak links come into play. Check ground on batteries then engine ground from battery. Then the wire supply to riggers. There could be a voltage drop to coil or points if points also the point gap could be to great and now any voltage draw could be an issue. Most people go to the main source of what they think is the issue and it's something totally different. I rebuilt a lot of starters that there was no issue. Few hours later I'd get a call and the customer says it's doing the same thing😬. Also try a much lighter weight on each rigger to start a process of elimination. Good luck feel free to ask any questions. There's no such thing as a stupid question in electrical problems. PAP.

  6. Sweet PikeFreak!! That’s certainly a pile of eyes to be proud of and what a nice treat for a new comer to the fishing world!! He will certainly want to go again after that epic trip!! Congrats my friend!! PAP.

Well been in Northeast last 2 days slow for me. Sat kept 3 eyes trolled 50-70 few shorts pulled early as little one got sick. Sunday trolled 80-100 kept 3 again couple shorts....but the Lakers wanted to play so spent hr or 2 with gambler rig on dipsys and couldn't keep them in the water landed 4 hooked 5 and lost that one right at net. Would have been a boat best.
Couldn't get him to fit in net knocked hook out he was floating so pulled all my gear and circled back on him. Got him in net but as soon as I flipped him right side up he was gone back to the bottom. Bent my walleye net almost clear in half today will be putting the salmon net in the boat from now on. Not a great walleye trip but man the Lakers bite was awesome will be doing that again

Pic Laker went 11.11 landed didn't weigh the others but id guess they went 7-8 easy. The one I lost looked and felt bigger than the 18lb I got earlier this season.Snapchat-1895725720.jpgIMG_20180805_073248.jpg

Had the same experience with a Laker on LakeO, walleye nets are not big enough for those lakers, biggest fish I ever saw, lost it  for my girls after 30-40 minuets of reeling the knob busted on my okuma reel they got it in I just could not get that big **** in the net!! Congrats to you guys with the eyes!! As it was next to nonexistent “walleye fishing” on the big pond hoping for a better fall bite!! You guys really did awesome!! Keep at it

  8. Yes if I had to do it over thumbs down I’d use the Scotty brand the cannons it just seems like there’s no easy way about it. Where on my run around home boat I had a set of the Scotty’s laying around and put them on that boat now I wish it was the other way around. When I bring my boat home from Ny, It will be the other way around as I’m going to switch to the Scotty’s type on both!!!

  9. If you have a piece to take along that would be best. You’ll be dealing with ladies who only know the medical numbers. They just put a bunch of bags in front of me and I picked out the one that suited me best. Just a heads up. LOL

  10. I used medical tubing like from the I/V bags, if you have a medical supply store around and I also use it on my laurvick planer board releases, they are the most tacky rubber I’ve found to not let the line to slip. It’s cheap also for what you get.
