    Have to agree with Kevin. Knew someone that bow hunted with his bow at 90lb draw, 450grain arrow, 150 grain broadhead and asked me my thoughts after he showed it to me, I asked Why??? He said cause I’m in a thicket. Well he learned, a branch is a branch, effects the trajectory no matter what size/ speed you throw at it. You risk so much and owe it to the animal for a clean kill. Raise your hand if a sampling ever got in the way of your slug..... and you didn’t get the deer...... all in all get the gun for tradition or for pleasure, just don’t have over expectations of it and by all means as already mentioned be safe and have a clear shot.     I think this is a great report however the stream side of it should be revisited. If someone posted this info individually and named the trib they would be getting a slew of feedback.     Yep and as mentioned would be highly IMO useless due to trajectory at different yardage’s including the fact that an arrows tip at full draw may not be hitting in a spot your aiming at once released.     If you can afford, get the X4D. Was amazed at the difference I was seeing on true depth vs depthfinder readings, cone on the depthfinders can’t distinguish the cable swing. Honestly I’ve had the feeling, as others will say, don’t wish it on your worst enemy. Anything > 3ft on Ontario I’m the driver. Seneca can be a 20mph south and I’m fine.     Well said Les, change is good as well and who knows, the new area at Stivers for the ceremony might be 10 times more conducive in bringing the derby group together as a whole thus starting a richer culture for future derbies. Always thought of seeing the ceremony as a celebration vs get your award and that’s it. As far as fishing, yep it gets frustrating no doubt, change in tactics will be in order for many.
