In the boat plugged in all winter long. Never had any issues over 10 years.

If you have to travel with rods put them in some pvc pipe with screw caps, It's cheap packaging.

I use Lady Helen fishing charter for the past couple of years. We have a great time and caught a nice sail fish. I paid 650.00 for 8 hrs.

You would have to sand it down to the original paint. Get a bottom paint for aluminum boats.

Anti fouling paint is toxic and dry sanding sends clouds of dust in all directions, coats everything nearby and is a serious health hazard. Wet sanding is safer. If you dry sand it you will need a respirator and cover everything. The dust will etch into gelcoat. Don't ask me how I know...

12lb works great I don't even remember why I went up to 12 from 10 to be honest. I don't reallreally want to say this without a piece of wood around to knock on but I have yet to break off with quality 12 like Seagar. I even keep my drag set stiffer than most and bring alot of fish to the boat green and haven't had problems. Just keep steady pressure, inspect for nicks and knots often and you'll have no problem. I use the red label seagar but have heard the blue is even better just twice as much $$. DON'T USE BERKLEY VANISH... VANISH LINE=VANISHED LURE
Thanks, I'll have to give it a try. I was worried about losing fish so I went with 25lb.

I use about 15ft of 12lb seagar for riggers and spoon dipsys. 15lb for copper and lead and 20lb for flasher fly dipsys
How's the 12lb hold up to big fish?
