  1. We docked at Ernst’s for our Wed-Sun trip. Great folks. There’s a State Park launch across from them, but from what we read there’s no over nighting offered? Plenty of docks though. Also had an option with Leonards Landing, but chose Ernst’s.

  2. Have a Simrad Go9. Love it. Also have a Simrad autopilot that runs with it. Able to link the Go9 with an Ipad at the rear of the boat to mirror whatever screen you’re running at the helm. No need to keep peeking over the capt’s shoulder to look at the ff.

  3. Here is what I posted in the sticky thread at the top of the classified page:

"Reelcrazy is spot on with all his points. I've been lurking for several months reading and learning a lot. I decided to sign up to participate here and there. I figured I'd see if anyone was selling a Raymarine Sportpilot Plus. Geez, who knew everyone has a friend that has one for sale and ironically the seller speaks or I guess in these cases types broken english.  Hard to believe that a fishing discussion board can have so many people trying to run a scam."

Dont be so quick to judge. I know of a great guy on another fishing forum from the Youngstown OH area. He types the same because English is his second language.

  4. Walleye fishing is out of this world on the west end of Erie. A Lot of Charters on Lake Erie are cancelling. One newbie (a lot of them, now that walleye fishing is outstanding) said he was going to continue trips. He took an a$$ chewing. One issue they are having is a lot of out of state folks arriving with their own boats. This has gotten the attention of ODNR and the Highway Patrol. Saw posts of responses from both entities. ODNR said continue to fish (wonder if she took into account out-of-state folks) and suggested scout for turkey. Highway Patrol said fishing isn’t essential travel. So, mixed responses. This info from another fishing site, not my own investigating.

  5. If you did change the AP you could probably use the existing pump. Just need Course computer & compass. Easy swap. Put one of the Head units at the stern as now you can steer from the back of the boat while trolling!

Like my ol’ lady. You like spending my money! Ha. I edited my post prior to your reply. Raymarine says incompatible, and we’re cable w hydralic assist. Good luck sounds like a great deal. Watched a video, those units are studs.

  6. I want to get my son a  tree stand for Christmas , he's 5"8" about 165lbs. Looking to get the best bang for the buck. I'm not a hunter, looking for suggestions. Thanks.

Pay particular attention to how large the foot platform is. And a folding seat is a plus. I have a Muddy brand that I love and got two more. The two I bought were different models and stink. Smaller platforms to stand on and the seat doesnt fold up.

  7. We stopped for our annual trip. After seeing the great custom colors on their FB page I was looking forward to updating some flashers. But when I got there, the shelves were bare. Bought a few items. Asked how much for a plastic grip, dude hesitated then said just give him a $20. I asked him to look it up..... it was listed for $18.

  8. Went with the high back for the helm and later added the lowback w/no arm rests for our Striper. The highback seat padding on the front of the seat is a bit much for my comfort. It also takes some manuevering to turn the seat facing backwards. If I did it again I’d go with the lowback no arm rests for the helm.

To clarify, we added the lowback for the port seat.
