Reasons for the high lake level? Seems like we didn’t have much snow melt. We did have a 2-3” soaker rain but it doesn’t seem it should effect the lake level this much. And the past year or two is seems worse.

The best lightning protection is not being out on the lake in your boat when the storm rolls through. Get the app ‘My Radar’ ... pretty sure it’s free but you can buy upgrades for cheap. The free version is all you need on your cell phone so you can check the real time Doppler periodically while your out on the lake and before you leave. Also, check out the marine forecast on Wunderground.com.

taughannock yesterday Sunday the 11th.

couple boats went out. Water is low but they got out. Quite a jump up to the loading dock.

I counted 9 dead from WG pier on bottom 12/24/17 most were 10-12” one 24 plus.

If it has no black spots on the lower half of it's tail - it's a Coho.

It is true:

Fish bite the least

when the wind is out of the East.

And fish bite the best

when the wind is out of the West.
