  1. First shakedown on my ‘new to me’ boat.  Trolled from the bay to down past Hedges, 10-15 fow.  Sticks off the boards and Chinook divers with spoons took all of our fish, bright colors.  Easily over 20 bites, all Browns with one being an absolute tank and got a 5.3# walleye to cap it off.  Beautiful morning to start our season.  Good luck to all....

  2. I have been using Easton Full Metal Jackets for years, no issues with bending.  I have shot multiple deer with them and have been able to clean them off and use them again, even on deer that have took the arrow with them.  Very good arrow, not cheap though, although not much is in our sport.....

  3. Took Friday afternoon off and slipped into the stand around 1:30 and started seeing deer right away.  Around 5:15, this buck comes in and my shot was a bit low behind the shoulder and after bumping him I decided to let him rest overnight.  Well, I had to go pick up my ‘new to me’ boat first thing Saturday morning and when I went back late morning to find my buck I found that the coyotes found him first....a bit bittersweet but I am glad I was able to find him.  Saw three different shooters.   Great weekend got a buck and a boat!

  4. Last year fishing with buddy Matt French I landed a beautiful 13.5# hen Atlantic and we immediately agreed that the fish was worth getting mounted. Exactly a week later I was fishing with my good buddy Eric and landed an even better Atlantic, 14.5# male. I decided what the hell and got them mounted together. I do not regret the decision.

  5. Went out of Rochester this morning on a charter for a belated birthday for my father. We went out with buddy Matt French on the Misdemeanor. We had a great early bite that shut down mid-morning and then picked back up as we were trolling in. Best water was 140-225 fow. Riggers did all the work with it being all a spoon bite for us. Riggers parked at 88', 77' & 57'. Ended 14 for 21, 8 kings, 4 steelies and 2 Lakers. Lots of short strikes this morning, fish on for short battles then GONE. Absolutely beautiful morning with great times and laughs. Looking forward to the next trip.
