Gambler thanks for your response. headed to the launch right now a whole lot more optimistic. I was a liitle bummed to hear there catching kings off the dock.

Good friend went out this morning and on the boat launch dock there catching salmon. Question is I assume they move into the streams in waves and there is plenty hanging out in the lake (mature fish that is). Also is it still good fishing for the younger kings out in lake till winter? I know the lake trout don't spawn so I'll chase them around as long as I can. Thanx for your insight in advance

Thanxs silver fox. All I have is 8" spin doctors but it gives me a starting point. Hopefully Monday I'll have report on how I did them .

Thanks for the tips. I'm headed out monday afternoon and going to take them swimming. Do you remember your leader length behind the Spin Doctor. My plan is range from 18"-24" behind flasher or spin doctor till I get a winning combo

Has anyone had success with these. I've tried filling them with sardines, tuna fish, etc. with no success. I've read good things but can't get one to fire. Wondering if any one runs them behind flasher or spin doctor and if so how far behind. Appreciate any advice. They look to pretty the box to not be used.

Well nice to know we were all in the same boat. Hoping to get out Wednesday or Thursday afternoon. If I do hopefully I'll have some good info for the weekend. The seasons closing fast but not over yet. Anybody gets out during the week share some info. Sounds like we could all use a little help.

Congrats on the PB. I've seen a lot in my boat tickle 30 lb but never over. Somehow I always get the rod with the 25lb lol (my PB). Great fish in anyone's book and on a tough day for everyone.

Well we had full intentions of running deep right out of the gate. Our mistake was peeking at the screen in 80 fow on the way out. We got all excited about the screen and forgot the game plan. Needless to sat 6-8am no bites. Shot to 450 flow headed south and immediately got a good screen followed by a release. Two min later dipsy fires with a nice king. The fish actually out ran the boat twice before we netted him (really dark colored 435 flow 100 down SD fly). 415 fow another nice king on but came unbuttoned pretty quick. Swung back to way point of first fish and two more releases no one home. So we headed south to find more fish and literally trolled from 415 fow to 70 fow without moving a rod. I wish I knew the answers. As of I know I'm swearing off the inside till I see salmon laying on the docks. I know me and nickr weren't the only two boats out there. Feel free to chime in.

When I met you you were taking the ladies out for a joy ride. Gotta make em happy . Good luck tomorrow well be in his boat tomorrow. I'll post as we go good or bad. We had in tensions of starting 550fow with a south troll. But if its like today were going from 80 on a north troll. Good luck out there

Nickr you dock at sleepy hollow. My buddy matt docked couple slips away but we pulled it cause transom kept leaking. Think I saw you out there today. My boys b-day is tomorrow and school starts Thursday. He wasn't missing out on today without trying. Big key for me today was devils nose. Marked fish everywhere from mouth to devils nose. But only fish that were biting my lures were in front of nose. Tomorrow the kids stay home and the bigger boat comes out. Game on. Expecting 2-4 foot waves so hopefully its not worse. Hope to see guys out there tomorrow. Good luck

Well decided to give it a shot in the little pontoon today seeing how tomorrow is rougher. Fought to get out of the channel but pushed out to 80' and set up. Good hooks and bait from 85-95 fow. Headed straight west (less bumpy) and got in front of the nose with no hits. Looked at my son and said do you want to keep going. So north it was . Got to 135 and screen lit up and soon after the 220 dipsy fired with a big king on. My son fought it for 20 min to boat side when fatigue and muscle gave up. (He's 9) too much slack and 10 feet from the boat we lost her. Marked that spot and circled right back in. 15 min later down rigger fires and I had him the rod. Gorgeous show the steelie put on before we netted him (11lbs). Followed it up with a smaller king and that's a wrap. He was getting green and a little nervous. Ride back was rough as I'm sure some of you out there witnessed. Until tomorrow. Hope this helps someone. Some reason I can't figure out the pic download on here. Back after the kings today and we got schooled right away by the fish. We setup everything the same as day before, color location speed but nothing around. Stuck it out for hr or so before heading north looking for bait. By 465 fow the screen got active but no takers........ so we changed from white SD and neon green flies to dark SD and green hammer fly. Instantly got hits in 530 flow. By now it was 9 am and only fishing till 11. But we felt confident at least, we headed east and stayed 540-520 fow and ended with 4 nice fish and lost 2 steelies on sliders. Kings were 26 22 and 18 lbs and a beautiful Atlantic about 10lbs. Learned a lot today and caught some nice fish. Can't beat that. Until next weekend.......

We did opposite today. We set up in 350 headed north and within 20 min had triple of majors on. Me and my buddy fought two while the other ripped next to us. Landed a 23 and 22 lost the third. Stayed at 390 to 400 530 till noon re circling way point as we landed fish. Every pass another fish. Best day of our season. We landed 7 kings 20-25 lbs. 4 kings 12-14lbs. And couple stealies. We got so tired of resetting lines we decided to mix it up and look for some Lakers inside. Shot into 250fow and started marking on the bottom. Sent riggers down 200ft and headed south. Ended up two more mid teen kings. Go figure all season we had lakers on demand. Today we went after them and couldn't get a bite. Trying to load pics but having trouble. Today was east of the nose tomorrow heading west . Should be another good one. We ran 7 spin doctors and flies all day (no spoons) . Most fish came off wonder bread SD and Ultra white atomic or neon green color.

We went east this morning straight to 120 fow and within five min a double. 10 lb king and lost the other. 1/2 hr later hooked up with a 23 lb king . We never made it past 135 fow. My son got sea sick and ended the morning short. Ended with 5 from 6:30 till 9:30. 2 nice kings, 3 skippers, and a laker. Best morning we've had this yr hard to end it. But the wife gets irritated when I bring home green kids.

Just lost a mid teen king out of sand ( bad net job). Hit a glow frog 50 down over 270 flow. Marking some fish out here.45 degrees 80 foot down
