  1. Went for a family boat ride today. The wife me and 6 kids. Kids wanted to go tubeing so we dragged them around the lake in between t falls and aes finally wore them out so they went to sleep up in the cuddy and got to fish. Ran 2 divers and to down riggers fished on a south troll on my way back to Myers riggers were set at 80 and 60 divers set at 180 and 240. Went 4 for 6 in about 2 hrs worth of fishing. All fish were caught on spindoctor fly rigs. Marked a lot of fish again from 30 ft down to 90 with most fish marked in the 60 to 80 ft range. With what little time had on the water thought we did pretty good. Youngest son reeled in his first lake trout but refused to hold it for a pic. Kept 3 today. Rest are still swimming. Good luck out there hoping to get out again this week.was a awsome day to have the family on the boat. 20170819_161040.jpg20170819_175812.jpg20170819_161343.jpg20170819_175550_001.jpg

  2. I fished from T Falls to Kidders on Sunday and had a dismal day to say the least. 8 hrs of fishing and only managed 4 fish. How ever with that said I marked a ton of fish ranging in water depths from 40 to 80 ft. All the fish were in amongst huge bait piles. The fish were there just didn't want anything I wad to throw at them. The best marks on the fish finder were in 80 to 100 ft. I changed everything from leader lengths colors speed of the boat direction of travel was just a off day for what ever reason. Across the lake from Shaldreke some.one posted that they boated 60 fish. I guess you just never know. But I can saw it was better than being at work. Good luck to you

  3. We boated 4 total including the little guy. Had a hand full of short strikes on the rigger with no body home. The fish were all over the water column from 30 down to 80 and marked tons of them with tons of bait. Sometimes just hard to compete with the real thing I guess. Took a shot on a 10 core running down the shoot that I wish I could have At least seen the fish. Stripped a hole bunch of line off got the rod out of the holder and it was gone[emoji37] . Oh well good day anyway.

  5. I think I have a couple issues. The most frequent problem is that boat us running well in neutral but when I shift into forward or reverse the boat dies. Left me stranded on Sunday and I had to be towed in to Myers. From what I have read this could be anything from a bad motor to a carborator issue to a shift cable issue or a bad shift inhibiter switch. I'm also having a issue with getting the boat up out of its hole when trying to get on plane. Some times boat will stall while trying to climb up out of its hole. Not all the time but some times. It has a Rochester quadrajet that was rebuilt less than a year ago and has less than 30 hrs.on the rebuild. I know these 2 problems could be related i also know that they may be 2 separate issues. My other problem is that the boat is dry docked at Myers more than a hour from where I live. I contacted the Finger lakes marine service and they were willing to go over and get the boat and take it to there shop and have one of there mechanics look at it. They said it would be in the next couple of days. My 3rd issue is my work schedule is leaving me very little time to get anything done and on the rare time I do have off I want to fish and not turn wrenches. I guess it's just time for me to quit fiddling with it and have a pro look at it. The people at the marina were berry helpful and nice on the phone. I don't know much about them but I have never had anybody but friends or my self work on my boat. I'm just hoping for the best at this point.
