I'm thinking about getting a couple of braid diver setups.  I fish Champlain quite a bit and I want to fish Slide Divers on braid.  What size reels are the best size for this application.  What pound test braid works best?

Does anyone have a trick for keeping the rubber caps on Bert's rod holders?  I lost two last weekend.  Should they be glued on?  What kind of glue works?

Is there an easy way to tell the difference between an X4 and an X4D probe?  I bought an X4D used last year and it wont read the depth.  I think the guy may have sold me an X4 probe and not an X4D probe.  The package he sold me had both a clear mount and a black mount for the display, so I suspect he bought the upgreade kit and sold me the X4 probe.  If I do have the right probe, are there some adjustments I need to make to get it to read depth?

What are you pulling behind your copper rigs? Do most people use spoons or flashers and flys? Do both work? I'm just curious about what is the best route to go.

I have a Lowrance on my boat. I have it set up to control the main motor through the hydraulic steering. I have the kicker connected with a rod. It steers the kicker with no issues. You can't beat it for the price.

Can I run 500' of copper on a Clarion 553LS?  Would it be better to go to a Soltera 50L for a 500' Copper?
