I heard the normal ice cracking sounds, the ice was about a foot thick I walked over near some black ice where someone fished a couple of days earlier and it sounded like glass breaking directly under me . I never have fished a derby. How can the officials determine were the fish came from? It would be a shame if the derby was held for nothing. Meaning the winning fish came from Lake Ontario.
