  1. That's great, I had no idea that's how it worked...wish I would have seen this before I went through the trouble of fabrication of my own. My issue was height difference when my kicker was trimmed up.

    Thanks Spike for the clarification.

  2. I too run a custom mount between my Main Motor (Honda 225) and my Kicker (Honda 9.9).  I found Sea Star has a hydraulic mount made only for the Port Side not the Starboard side.  Ive never used the cable steering set up but i would think its effective with the only issue being the drag of the main motor.  If your tuning hard to port the main motor lower unit would still be in the straight position unless you turn the wheel as well.  Of course i've been wrong before.

  3. Has anyone used them? Are they worth the money? If so, what brand and voltage should I purchase.

I have a 27' boat/outboard with triple batteries, I have tons of electronics and my kicker doesn't charge my batteries while under way.

    Thanks for the advise.

  4. I do too, currently I'm fabricating custom seats with storage underneath. As of right now I can fit 26 Plano boxes and I still have room for misc stuff in front of it...now the port side is going to be full length water right dry storage. Boxes are 48x26x24..hockey board is a marvelous thing!!

  5. Just find friends with TIG welder, lathe, milling machine and aluminum pipe and bring lots of beer.......

I def got the Beer Covered, That's a must when work is being performed outside of the normal 9-5.

I currently use the molded ones Cabela's sells, they work great here on Lake Winni but I fear they will break up at Lake O.  I may need to rethink the set up once the warm weather has joined us for the season.  I dont have a Man Cave large enough to house the boat during the winter months.  There's still 3' of snow around the boat!!

  6. I love those rod holders Willy-C esp, how they have the multi set points.....How much to make me some?

I like the rails you built for your boat, ever think about raising the riggers so you wont need to bend over the rails?

    Multi Purpose boats are Awesome

  7. Thanks Barry glad to be part of the board here at LOU. Hopefully I can pick up a few pointers along the way.

I like your Grady as well!! Just the right size for 2 people!!

  8. Good Afternoon,

My name is Steve (KJ Louise) I'm from NH, new to the site.

I'm really big into Salmon and Lakers on my home turf of Lake Winnipeasaukee. Down on the salt I concentrate on stripers, blue and tuna!!

I've only fished Lake O once last season with a charter. Needless to say I'm totally hooked!! Taking the Kid and Old Man back later in summer (8-17 thru 8-24). Always looking for some new advise and people to chat with.

I'll be bringing up my 27' Eastern with me this time fully loaded to raise holy Kings!!

Thanks in advance for all the advise and help along my way!!
