gamagatsu makes a nice siwash. I use the size #2 on lures . it conforms to the trib regs of the salmon river under 1/2" GAP

I think the single hook is from the first buoy, not the rt 3 bridge. Check the regs to be sure.

Reading lots of helpful reports but not many out in front of the salmon river. It used to be great this time of year.Do any fish seem to be getting ready on inside waters to make a run?

2012 - the best season I fished on Lake Ontario in 32 years of doing it

2013 - good year

2014 - slow year

2015 - slow year

2016 - Decent / good year

Olcott always fishes better for us in the summer.

same here. a few majors and a bunch of  skippies Monday thru Thursday.We did pick up a big coho Thursday,which was our first in many  years.4-500 ft was our best water.needle in a haystack fishing.

We have been passing by Oswego and mexico for the past 10 years. It is well worth the extra gas and time.(and we have a free place to stay on the salmon river with a dock!!)

Wire dipsies, and, either 30# seaflee line or 40# mono on your riggers will fix most of your flea problems.When they are thick,they will still collect (even on wire).Check your lines often.I use the seaflee and have been very happy with its performance.

Very nice brown!!Kudos to gramps for instilling catch and release in the young guy.The future of fishing theirs to enjoy.

I used the Chinook diver for the first time last week and was very impressed. I found it dove quicker and was much easier to reel in than the dipsy diver. Anyone else have similar findings?.All of my big fish were taken with this setup using a spindoctor and fly combo,including some big steel.

Holy cow!! Fished that area many years and have never seen or heard of a musky hooked while salmon fishing.BONUS!! and CONGRATS
