  1. fish hawk is the way to go. If people are having issues the company will stand behind them. I had a probe a few years back not work and company was awesome to work with!!!
I have the old 800 unit and a new probe. Saves you some money if that is an option

I have no experience with the others so can’t comment.
    Good luck!

  2. From the description you have I think I can picture it. You could run a # 3 on your dipsey if you are worried about a tangle but you can still get away with a 1 or 1.5. When dipsey gets bit (it’s already to the side / back / and up from rigger) the fish will generally swing to the middle. Just pick rod up hold tip high and over rigger pole and fight the fish once you get it to the back
Not sure what type of dipsey rod you have but most run longer rods yo get that line away from other gear
Once you get the hang of it you will realize that you want that rigger to stay wet so you can double up.
The biggest prob you may have is if the starboard dipsey fires and that fish takes a quick run to the port. Just get to the pole and lift it high and over rigger pole and you should be good

  3. This time of year the big thing is to fish the marks. Salmon start thinking about staging so they start ignoring temp soon.
Earlier in summer we put our deepest gear around 42 and then stagger up from there.
Many opinions on this one but 52-58 is always great for us for steelies and kings.
You can find steelies all the way to surface
In summer we look for brownies where bottom is 60 degrees

  4. I recommend that you use the smallest but heavy duty ball betting swivels you can find for spoons. We use torpedo or Spro. You get what you pay for in swivels. They are not cheap but worth every penny. The ones you can buy at bass pro / Walmart etc are worthless for these fish
For flies we use a larger swivel in front of the spin dr or flasher and then another one in between SD and leader. We don’t worry too much about them being smaller on that set up as it isn’t really that stealth. Again higher quality ball bearing is a must.

  5. Meat rigs are really twisting up line what are we doing wrong

    It’s in your swivel
A meat rig is not a stealth presentation so I would say upgrade and possibly upsize your swivel. Get a good one with ball bearings appropriately sized for your flasher and rig and you should be fine.
Good swivels are expensive but worth every penny
