  1. I have them all around my boat and haven't had that issue.  I'm also not using it a lot, unfortunately, but this does worry me.  The only issue I had was a used one from Amazon warehouse- there's a single screw holding the whole top pivoting to the bottom.  That was loose but fixed with loctite

There does not look to be much material in that area

  2. Ended up 4/5.  Lost a pretty good size one on a spoon and picked up another few small salmon on flasher / fly.  Most of the action was very high up as it was icy down only 25 feet in most places

I really appreciate all the tips from everyone.  Best part of the day was my son asking to go fishing again!  Now that's a successful trip

Yes its a 2013 1875. great boat can be a bit small when the winds blow up on the big water.

Looked familiar 😊. I have a 2015 1875.  Agree on the size, it's a little hairy when the lake starts getting white tips.  The stern is a little too low

  4. Agreed.  Since I don't live near the lake but was up there tonight for other reasons I scouted the Braddock's area:

The state launch on the East side as well as the pay per launch Manitou beach Marina on the west side both open

  5. Do you have a multimeter?  See if there's any voltage on those wires.  Also check to see what they run back to, I would be cautious with open wires just lying in the boat..

One other thing to check - does your motor still have an anode on it and is it in good shape?  Might be worth replacing w/ a new zinc anode

  6. Where on the boat is it?  Lund had had issues with electrolysis on the transom which appears as bubbling paint.  I guess under some circumstances the treated wood in the transom reacts with the aluminum.  Not sure if alumnacraft had that issue but thought I'd mention it
