I started to have issues with my 2016 9.9 yammi after 4 years of flawless trolling with it.  It kept stalling on me while trolling.  I read where they are set to run lean from the factory due to emissions standards.  There is a small aluminum cap over the fuel mixture jet/screw on the carb.  You can take a small pick and pry it up and off easily.  Turn the screw to open it up a little.  I have not had any issues since I richened the fuel mixture a little bit.

I use it to steer and the kicker for propulsion.  I lock in the heading I want to go in and can set lines and net fish when solo with no worries of getting spun around in the wind.

I have a 80lb that I use with my 9.9 for trolling.  It lasts 6 to 8 hrs of trolling when set on 3.5 to 4.  For bass fishing it should last all day.

Trim tabs will be money well spent.  They are probably the best add on I have put on my boat.  I bought Bennett Bolt trim tabs for mine.

Without a doubt get the 72, if it is installed correctly it doesn't interfere with the windshield or docking.  The extra length will be closer to the windshield so im not sure how it would interfere with casting. Buy a Cisco shaft support for it so the head doesn't bounce around when not in use.

Add the additional lead weight at the connection of the leadcore and your backer line so that you still have the benefit of the whipping action of the leadcore.  If you add the weight at the leader end the additional weight will kill the action.  You can get an additional 5ft per ounce of lead added to line at 2mph.

NAP Spitfire, maybe? That's what I shoot out of my crossbow. Didn't lose one though lol. I think Grim Reapers are similar. Leg hits are rarely fatal, no matter what brand you shoot...it seems like MZ season provides lots of "clean up" opportunities.

Not sure what happened in your case but another member suggested to use 40lb big game for the diver to slide on due to fraying issues with smaller diameter lines. I have been using 40lb now for two uears and have not had any issues. I think you can find a kit that includes extra springs, beads and rubber tubing online somewhere.

Yes, get one. Everything Beagler Described is correct. There are are hundreds if not thousands of smaller boats on erie and Ontario that use the bow mount for the purpose you describe. Make sure you get a shaft long enough for your boat. I need a 72" shaft on my starcraft, most can get away with the shorter 60" shaft.

I have the same steering on my boat and that is the fill tube. I included a picture of mine with the cap removed. I think what you are describing is normal steering. It will be easy out of the water but is definitely heavier while under load and is normal due to the prop and water resistance.

I picked up some Offshore 3 oz Guppy snap weights today to use with my 10 color setup.  I've never used them before.  If I hook the 3 oz snap weight up to my leader, 50 ft back from my spoon or flasher, and then let out the 10 colors, approximately how deep will it be running at say 2,0mph?
