  1. Single. The base is adjustable about 45 degrees with those. I have two on each side for my dipsey rods, one facing straight out the other set at 45 degrees pointed back towards the rear, that way it keeps the rod tips away from each other.
  2. I have 6 of the cannons and you can grab the holder and release lever at the same time and adjust it up or down with one hand. I also have a traxtech for my chute rod and you have to pull up on the lever with one hand and grab the rod holder with the other to move it up or down. I prefer the cannons after using both. Both of the them ratchet up when you grab the rod and both are the same quality IMO.
  3. I have traxtech tracks on mine and just measured the bases for my great lakes systems rod trees. The bottom plate that goes in the track is 5" long by 2-15/16" wide. The top plate that rides on the track is 5"wide x 3-3/8" wide.
  4. That mount looks great. If I ever catch a king worth mounting I will definitely be in touch.
  5. Good job, really nice fish! Our end is still locked up with ice.
  6. I remove the front hook on all my walleye cranks and also change out the rear hook to a size 2. I'm sure it changes the action somewhat but the walleye don't seem to care.
  7. Order some from member bikinibottom on this site. He makes his own shark weights.
  8. I have run 2 of these the last two years with no problems whatsoever. If you are used to running the older style cannons you will be shocked as to how fast these newer ones are. I use 12lb and 14lb weights with mine.
  9. 22" amish outfitters trolling bags are what you need.
  10. I just received my 14 lb weights from him and they are very nice. Would not hesitate to order more.
  11. I have 8 of the Okuma Dead Eye open water trolling rods that I use as board/leadcore rods. I have the 8'6" telescoping model that's breaks down to 7' which is great for storage. The action is perfect for running inline boards. https://www.fishusa.com/product/Okuma-Dead-Eye-Trolling-Rods
  12. Your right, poor choice of words on my part so i changed my previous post to reflect that. Thank you for your in depth explanation of the difference between the two, something I was too lazy to type out.
  13. I put on a small amount of mono on the convectors so that the wire doesn't slip on the reel, about 30 ft or so. My Tekotas have a small stud on the spool so there is no need for mono on those.
  14. The weighted steel is similar (certainly not equivalent) to copper that most people use. The 19 strand wire is the backing. There are several YouTube videos that show some of the benefits of using it compared to regular copper.
  15. I really like the versatility to be able to cover the water column with one rod. It works really well on walleye on Erie in the summer when the walleye are deep. I ended up rigging another identical rod recently because it worked so well.
  16. I'm using a convector 45 reel which has 750 ft of 19 strand and 200 ft of weighted steel.
  17. I use the Okuma GLT copper/leadcore rods with the large stainless guides on them with no issues. You don't need roller rods for the weighted steel.
  18. I use uni knot to small spro swivel then uni knot the leader to the spro, I have not had that connection fail yet. I realize that the lead will poke out a little on the leadcore but that has not been an issue.
  19. I have a total of 30 cut bait heads in 4 different colors for sale. The green ones all glow. I bought these new and couldn't use them with the MC Rocket baits that I use. $35.00 shipped. 716-673-6614.
  20. Agree with the Cannon 10 STX, mine are only 2 years old and are rated for max 20 lbs. Like egoody says they are fast and do bounce quite a bit when they stop at the surface. Other than that minor complaint I am completely satisfied with them.
  21. Mine are mounted about 6 inches from the rear of the tracks. Definitely use the tracks for everything, they are already reinforced underneath, and make removing and adding equipment easy. My cannon riggers came with the swivel bases attached and I mounted them on 4" pedestal bases like these. http://store.cannondownriggers.com/products/325078/Aluminum_Fixed_Base_Downrigger_Pedestal
  22. Any long shaft kicker will work fine. I agree with the swivel bases for riggers. I have 2 cannon mag 10 ST on mine that I run at a 45 degree angle near the back of the boat. I do not usually extend my booms and I figure they are about 24" long collapsed.
