  1. Greetings, When they are in an aggressive mood (not often) they will hit all 3 hooks. Most of the time they will hit the 3rd hook and occasionally I will have to put a 4th stinger hook on when they are just nipping at the worm. Back in the day the only crawler rigs that were available were 3 hook so that is all I ever used.

  2. Thanks Big Al, I use mostly the T 4 and the U 20. Yellow and black. Yellow and red. Orange and black in that order. I use a whole nightcrawler and occasionally use a stinger hook on the end if they are short striking. Yes #2 hooks. I usually use about a 12" dropper with a 30" leader.  As far as speed goes I just hang it over the side and when it looks right I send it back. The action on this lure is absolutely mesmerizing. Believe it or not I caught this 55" Musky on it last year. Good luck.

  3. This lure is very speed sensitive. Slow as she goes. If you troll too fast she will spin on you. I normally use a 3 way swivel with a 30 inch leader and a 1 to 2 oz. dropper about 12" long. Strictly old school but that's what works for me. I very seldom fish big water or fish deeper than 30' so I have no need for riggers or divers. I haven't tried it with any lures other than the flatfish. I assume it would work just as well with the other lures.

  4. Here is a lure I made and have been using since the 1970's. I have been keeping it a secret for 50 years and figured it's time to share. It's a flatfish with the hooks removed and a crawler rig attached to the back. DYNOMITE!

  5. Looking for any information on Hi Tech Tackle. The owners name is Dave and I know he is from up state New York. He made spoons and crawler rigs and sold them at the Harrisburg Sportsman show several years ago. (see pic). I have his phone number but it is out of service. Anyone know what happened to him or how to contact him?

    Thanks.

    DO NOT MESS AROUND

BUT A NEW ONE , BEFORE YOU GO OUT .

That being said , is it  a bad connection or the fitting is not right or is it the gasket between fitting and tank .

    A new 6 gallon is 60$ ?

Can you give me a link to purchase the fuel tank? It has to fit a 1985 Yamaha 7 HP.

  7. I have a 6 gallon fuel tank that is leaking at the connection. My question is this. If I cut off the end of the hose that connects to the tank and just submerge the cut end into the fuel tank would that work? Would fuel reach the motor that way?

  8. Hello Everyone,

Hope all are staying safe and well. I have a question. I fish the St. Lawrence river in the Gananoque area more precisely the Bateau Channel. I am fairly accomplished at fishing for pike but I am completely incompetent when it comes to fishing for Smallmouth bass. I plan on fishing this area the week of July 7th to the 14th. If anyone knows some good spots for bass and wants to make some DOE RAY ME and take my wife and I and my 13 year old grandson out for a day I would be greatful. We can use my boat and equipment. I have an Alumacraft 175 Navigator with a 115 merc and yamaha 7hp kicker. Thanks.
