Looking for a little help with fixing a damaged spot on my boat.
Someone ran their vehicle into the back of my boat. After looking closely at the damaged spot, I see nothing from the inside of the boat looking at the damaged spot. It appears there is no damage through the hull, just looks like the fiber glass got damaged.
Any body guys out there? Should I buy some sort of fiber glass kit and put it over the existing damage before I bring it to the water and see if it does not leak? There is a west marine not far from my house that has a repair kit.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I don't care about what it looks like. Just want it to float lol..

There was no need to look any closer than 120 - 100 FOW, screens looked great all day.
Not sure what's going on with staging fish inside of that depth but I won't leave fish to find fish.
Good luck

Was thinking the same thing. Fishing tomorrow at Mexico, Oswego or Stony. ????

I wouldn't recommend Mexico. Fished there 2x last week. From 6am till noon, landed one small brown. Threw the book at 'm.
Had a great year last April the couple times I went up to Mexico. Don't know what's going on now.

Started a little late. 8am. Went west, zip, went east, zip. Threw the book at them. Spoons, sticks. 1.5 to 2.5. That's all I got.

I had to get a new phone this past off season, and I lost the link I had saved on my old phone for the Lake Ontario marine forecasts. I fish Mexico bay - Oswego. I found the link on this forum, been searching topics and can not find it.
Can anyone send me any direct links they use? Much appreciated. Thank you.

Had a great spring with the browns off the planner boards.
Couldn't boat a king, with 6 trips between July and mid August. Was depressing.
Now, making up for a bad summer, last few weeks we're hammering kings and it's a total confidence booster. Bites are short gotta make every bite count.

Back when I used to work as a mate on charter boats, we had an gentleman on our charter suffer a heart attack on the boat. We immediately channeled coast gaurd Oswego. Their advice and assistance helped save his life.
Thanks for sharing your story and I'm glad your son is ok.

I was there too Tuesday afternoon till dark. Marked a good amount of fish, stayed on them all afternoon. Finally at 6pm they turned on for me, and were active for an hour. I couldn't get more than one rigger down it would take off.... Then just like that they turned off for me. That hot action in an hour gave me my limit and made the trip worth it.

Went 2 for 2 this evening 120' to 130' in front of the dunes right off the bottom. Both rigger hits, dipsys were dead.

Can anyone give me an update of lake conditions this afternoon. Looking to go up tomorrow, marine forecast says waves 1 foot or less this afternoon, yet I'm in central NY and it's blowing W-NW 19mph. Finding it hard to believe there's one foot waves or less in the bay. Thanks.

Thanks Fat Trout. Good stuff.
Just trying to get a grip on what the hell happened to the fishery in this area since I've been gone.
I see now why all the charter boats I worked on and friends I made have left the area. Sad for me to see following the footsteps of my father who practically raised me fishing the Mexico bay / salmon river area. Thanks again!

All good info! Could you explain base water flows? ThanksUnfortunately 5-8 million didn't happen in the 90's in NY. You compared against the 1.8 for NY now so thats what I assume you mean. I fished then, would have been nice. 2.7 million in 1995. cut down to just over a million in 1996 after Michigan's first crash. brought back up later in the 1990's but not exceeding 2 million. Base water flows in 1996 started the natural reproduction now estimated at a number equal to 50% of the stocking total.
